Hi-ya,
I'll be heading home from Cincinnati today and thought I'd share the card I designed for one of the make-and-takes at Papertrey's Stamp-a-Faire event this weekend. You may have seen this on Nichole Heady's blog yesterday.
Each of us on the Senior Design Team designed a card for one of the make-and-takes we hosted yesterday at the event. The card needed to be easily reproducable so that each of the attendees would have enough time to get around to each of the make-and-take stations to make all of the cards we had planned. Fun, fun!
I used some rustic cream card stock and stamped it with Background Basics: Newsprint in smokey shadow ink and then inked the edges with vintage touch tea dye ink. I layered the vintagey-looking newsprint on a raspberry fizz card base.
For the focal point, I stamped a flower from Hello, Friend as well as the "It's your birthday" sentiment on more rustic cream card stock which was layered on a bit more raspberry fizz card stock. Tucked behind the focal point is a 5" strip of smokey shadow card stock and a raspberry fizz button finishes things off!
This is a super simple birthday card that you could whip up in no time. Perhaps you could even make up a little stack of these to have on hand when that next birthday pops up unexpectedly! You'll be prepared ahead of time!
Have a great day, friends.
Can't wait to share lots more with you about the Stamp-a-Faire event! And I can't wait to see my hubby!! ;)
