Hello there! This is my first of two posts for you today, so be sure to scroll up to see the second one -- all about Gratitude Journal!
Today is the first Group Post of this month's Papertrey Countdown which means that all of the girls on the Design Team have projects to share with you and today, we're highlighting Heather Nichols' new Halloween Treats & Sweets stamp set. Each of us will be showing you project using the larger scaled images in this set as well as a project using the smaller scaled images from the set.
Remember those old school Halloween buckets everyone used to have? You know the ones.......orange bucket, black handle......well, I was excited to make some mini versions of that classic bucket using the new Favor It Box #6 die with Halloween Treats & Sweets. I wanted to make 3 buckets so I started off by die-cutting the Favor It Box #6 die, 6 times....two times for each colored bucket I wanted to create, and since I'm making one for my nephew and two for my nieces, I chose my colors accordingly.
After the pieces are cut out, you simply stamp on them and assemble them! It couldn't have been easier. I stamped the little pumpkin face on each bucket -- on both the front and the back -- and then put the buckets together with a bit of scor-tape.
I used the tiny tags die to create a little tag for each bucket, and stamped them with the "little pumpkin" sentiment from Halloween Treats & Sweets. I tied each tag on with a bit of chocolate baker's twine and then added a snippet of ribbon to the handle of each bucket as well.
I can't wait to toss in some Halloween candy and give these to the littles. I think they'll like 'em a lot!
Here, I used Halloween Treats & Sweets to make some mini buckets for my card! How fun is that? I used the coordinating Bitty Halloween Treats & Sweets die to die cut the buckets and then stamped them with the bucket image and the pumpkin face from Halloween Treats & Sweets.
Notice that sentiment tab? That's one of my new Journal Tabs dies that I used to die cut some kraft card stock and then stamped it with the "happy halloween" sentiment from Halloween Treats & Sweets. After adhering it to the card stock, I added a brad (Making Memories) for a bit of added interest.
I tied a simple baker's twine bow around the handle of each little bucket and added a strip of Road Trip patterned paper underneath. To finish things off, I added a die cut scalloped strip of dark chocolate card stock.
I hope you've enjoyed these Halloween Treats & Sweets projects! Don't forget that each of the design team girls have projects to share, so be sure to bop around and pay them all a visit.
