Hello All,
So in the first week that we brought Windsor home, the adorable Amy Tan suggested that I take a picture of Win every Thursday on his woobie (his dog bed). I loved the idea so much that I've been doing just that! It's so fun to see exactly how much he's grown from week to week. The above photo is Windsor at 9 weeks.
And here he is at 10 weeks!
Annnnnnd, Windsor at 11 weeks!! Look at how big his legs look, all of a sudden!
And here he is at 12 weeks! Can't believe how fast he's growing!!
And here's a little side-by-side comparison for you.....
They told us at our vet's office that there is a line of people that work there (including the dr. himself) that would love to take this boy home with them. I must say, that makes me so proud, every time they tell us that. He's soooooo smart (too smart for his own good, at times!) and well, obviously so darn cute, though I might be a tad biased. ;)
So, for those of you that were wondering, the puppy trainer came yesterday for our first session. Obviously, it was just yesterday, but already I feel really good about the plan we have in place to train our boy. It's going to take time and a lot of consistent work with him, but in just 6 hours last night before he went to bed, he was so much more well behaved! It was pretty amazing. He's going to do really well and I feel like going forward, I'm likely to get a lot more done around here! Ha. I'll let you know how the training progresses, after we've worked on it for a bit.
Today, we're heading to San Francisco and Napa Valley for a few days (my first time there). Our dear Aussie friends, John & Lynn, are coming over to the states for vacation and we're meeting them in California for several days. Then we'll come home because I'll have a little thing called the Papertrey September Countdown to take care of *wink* and they'll continue with a bit more traveling and then before they head home, they're going to come stay with us for several days again, right after the Countdown!! We had SUCH a fun time when they came to visit last time, and we had SO much fun when we went to Australia to visit them so we're very much looking forward to time with them twice in the next month!
And for those of you that are worried about what will happen to puppy Win while we're away, not to worry. My sister and her hubs are staying at our house with him. So he'll be safe and sound in his own house with an auntie and uncle that love him and who have an arsenal of puppy training techniques to put into practice! (We're sooooooo grateful for them! They stayed here w/Riley every year, when we traveled. A total blessing.)
If you want to keep up with our adventures in California, be sure to follow me on Twitter! I'll tweet updates and iPhone pics along the way so you can come along on our adventures with us! And of course, we're taking along Laverne (the Nikon) so I'll share those pictures when we get home!
Have a GREAT weekend, Peeps!
