Hi-ya!! This is my first of TWO POSTS today, so be sure to scroll up to see Day 5 of my Raspberry Suite sneak peeks!
It's the last day of the Papertrey September Countdown which means that you don't have to wait much longer until all of these new goodies will be available for purchase!! (Sept. 15)
Today is another Group Post day which means that all of the Papertrey Design Team girls have projects to share with you and today, we're highlighting the new Holiday Photo Finishers stamp set designed by Nichole Heady. The idea behind the set is that you can send out those holiday photo cards that are so popular right now, but you can use this stamp set to add a bit of paper-craftiness to your photo card too!
You're going to LOVE Holiday Photo Finishers for those holiday photo type cards. But let me just tell you that this set works for a whole lot more than just photo cards!! I'll show you what I mean in just a bit, but first......a tri-fold holiday photo card. :)
These tri-fold cards are a new item that Papertrey will be carrying. As you can see in the photo above, I covered the front of this one with some of my new Candy Cane Christmas patterned paper. Next, I die cut a strip of white card stock with one of the new Photo Finish Strips Dies and stamped a coordinating image from Holiday Photo Finishers on the strip.
Here's what you see when you open the first flap of the card. I added more Candy Cane Christmas patterned paper on the left as well as another fun label image from Holiday Photo Finishers that was stamped on white card stock and cut out.
To the flap on the right side, I added a couple of snowflakes die cut from pure poppy card stock using the new Damask Snowflakes Dies. Topping the snowflakes is another fun label image from Holiday Photo Finishers that was stamped on white card stock and punched out with a 1 3/4" circle punch.
And here's what you see when you open the second flap......ahhh....a sweet little puppy face. On the flap over on the right, I stamped a "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" sentiment from Holiday Photo Finishers.
Let's take a closer look at that puppy face, shall we? Because after all, who could resist a face like that???....
I printed the photo out myself, on my home printer, and then stamped a pretty bracket image directly on the photo.
Now that you've seen a photo card, how about some non-photo cards? Get ready....I think you just might fall in love with this stamp set! Don't say I didn't warn you! Haha.
Um, how fun is THIS?!! Are you wondering how I made that pretty flourishy brackety background? I thought you might be. I took a photo for you.....
Holiday Photo Finishers contains two large brackety images that mirror each other so I lined them both up on my block at the same time and then stamped them in one direction on the card before turning the card around and stamping the same thing on the other side. I LOVE this!!!! I will need to do this again.....and again.....and maybe even again. :) I apologize right now.
I used one of my Doily Details dies to die cut the aqua mist doily and topped it with my absolute favorite label image from Holiday Photo Finishers, stamped in aqua mist ink.
I mean really, this card couldn't be simpler to make, but gosh, I sure love the way it turned out!
Next up is another white card base layered with a bit of Candy Cane Christmas patterned paper and a strip of ripe avocado card stock that I die cut with the small scalloped border die.
On the bottom of the patterned paper, I stamped one of those large brackets in ripe avocado ink and topped that with some aqua mist card stock that I stamped with a label image from Holiday Photo Finishers. Next came another Doily Details die cut ripe avocado doily topped with my favorite label again. I've used that label a lot. I'm not sorry. :) Tucked just behind the label are a couple of candy canes cut out with the Candy Cane Christmas Dies and stamped with coordinating images from the Candy Cane Christmas stamp set.
Mmm.......this one feels very Alpine-y to me. Is that a word? :)
I've loved how old-timey fonts and label images have become so popular these days and Holiday Photo Finishers is filled with sentiments designed in just that style. I'm in love! Sooooo, I decided to stamp 4 different sentiments from Holiday Photo Finishers all in a row to create the focal point for this card. Who says your cards can only have one sentiment each?!
I die cut a pure poppy snowflake using one of my new Damask Snowflakes dies and simply cut it in half, allowing each half to peek out from the top and bottom of the sentiment panel. A few red rhinestones were added to the snowflake to finish things off.
Here's one more quick and easy card for you....it's a rustic cream card base with hawaiian shores and aqua mist snowflakes adhered together.
On top of the snowflake, I added a strip of kraft card stock that was die cut with one of the Photo Finish Strips dies and stamped with the coordinating "Joy to you & yours this holiday season" label. Clear rhinestones in various sizes finished things off.
Well I hope you've enjoyed these projects. Today, you'll want to visit Nichole Heady plus each of the design team girls to see their takes on Holiday Photo Finishers.
