Hello there! This is my first of two posts today, so be sure to scroll up to see my second post -- Day 3 of Raspberry Suite sneak peeks for this release!
It's Group Post day at Papertrey Ink which means that today, all of the girls on the Design Team have projects to share with you and today we're showcasing the Love Lives Here: Holiday stamp set that was designed by Nichole Heady with concepts by Melissa Phillips. When those two get together to create a stamp set, a bit of magic happens and the Love Lives Here: Holiday stamp set is a perfect example of just that.
I've got a card to share with you today as well as a coordinating gift bag that's ready to be filled with some baked goodies, come Christmas time!
I started out with a rustic cream card base and die cut the bottom edge with one of my new Edgers #4 Dies (stay tuned tomorrow for more info about these dies!).....don't you just love those scallops?!
For the focal point, I chose to work with the unassembled Christmas tree from Love Lives Here: Holiday.....there's also a coordinating die which allows you to cut out the tree layers and then stamp them each in a different color! I also die cut and stamped the tree trunk and little text star and put all of the pieces together on a mat stack 1 die cut. Adhesive pearls were added for a bit more decoration on the tree.
The candy cane stripes from Candy Cane Christmas were stamped toward the bottom of the card and over that, I added a strip of aqua mist card stock that was stamped with a pretty sentiment from Love Lives Here: Holiday. Lastly, two more pearls were added to accent the sentiment.
I wanted to create a gift bag to have on hand that would coordinate with the card without being too matchy-matchy so I used some similar elements as on the card but changed up the details a bit.
Another mat stack 1 die cut was used, but this time I die cut the assembled Christmas tree from raspberry fizz card stock and stamped the little hearts image from Love Lives Here: Holiday on the tree. Another star was added to the top of this tree and the "Deck the Halls" sentiment was stamped on the aqua mist card stock strip. I simply notched out the sides of the strip with paper snips.
I stamped the pine boughs and berries from Love Lives Here: Holiday in a strip across the bag for a finishing detail.
I hope you've enjoyed these projects! This is just the start though.....don't forget that this is the first of TWO POSTS today so be sure to scroll up to see lots more sneak peeks and a new product introduction!!
