HI there!! Thank you so much for your sweet comments about my new Christmas Poinsettia and Star of Wonder stamp sets! I'm thrilled to hear that so many of you are anxiously awaiting release day so that you can add these new sets to your collections!
Christmas Poinsettia & the coordinating Christmas Poinsettia dies as well as the Star of Wonder stamp set will all be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on October 15.
For today, I've got a few more cards to share with you starting with a simple poinsettia card that I just LOVE! I'm thinking I might need to make some more of this one to send out this Christmas. I'm loving the color scheme!
I die cut 6 poinsettia layers (2 of each size) and stamped them each with the corresponding images from Christmas Poinsettia using raspberry fizz ink. LOVE pink poinsettias! ;) I used small Making Memories brads in a pretty brown color to hold all of the layers together and then fluffed all of the layers forward with my finger. The leaves were also die cut and stamped with the leaf image from Christmas Poinsettia using ripe avocado ink.
The "Joy to the world" sentiment from Christmas Poinsettia was stamped using dark chocolate ink, on the aqua mist card base. Just below the sentiment, I stitched two straight lines across the card front and trimmed off the thread leaving some short "tails" behind for a slightly more rustic touch.
Next up, I've got a couple of Star of Wonder cards for you.....
I wanted to show you the detail at the top of this card. I started with a rustic cream card base and added some Studio Calico (grid) patterned paper to the card front. Then, I "flicked" some Mister Huey's mist in Dewey on the paper followed by some Mister Huey's Calico Shine. I think you can see in the above shot, just how shiney, that shine is. It's really pretty in real life.....I'm lovin' that Calico Shine!
Along the bottom of the card, I stamped a sentiment from Star of Wonder, in dark chocolate ink. The teal layer is a bit more Studio Calico patterned paper that I die cut with the mat stack 1 die and then stamped with a coordinating image from the Mat Stack 1 Collection stamp set. Next is some kraft card stock that was die cut with the double-ended banner die and on top of that is a rustic cream layer that was die cut with the mat stack 2 die. Topping things off is a couple of layers die cut with the limitless layers: 1 3/4" circle dies and as you can see, I stamped one of the circle tag images from Star of Wonder on the kraft layer. A brown rhinestone was added to the star for an extra bit of sparkle.
One more card for you today.....this one shows you all 3 of the tag images from Star of Wonder. I stamped them each on royal velvet card stock using fresh snow ink.
The card base is soft stone card stock. I stamped the large starburst image from the new Nativity Silhouettes stamp set on the card base using plum pudding ink. Next, I die cut some plum pudding card stock with the new Tag Sale #5 die followed by a layer of royal velvet card stock that was die cut with the Fillable Frames #4 die. Lastly is a white scalloped circle loayer that was die cut with another of the limitless layers: 1 3/4" circle dies. A bit of royal velvet topnotch twill was added to the top of the tag and clear rhinestones were added to each of the stars.
The sentiment, "Silent night, Holy night" is also from Star of Wonder and was stamped here in plum pudding ink.
I hope you've enjoyed today's projects! I'll be back tomorrow with lots more to share, so I hope you'll join me. In the meantime, be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Heather Nichols and Erin Lincoln for today's highlights as well as Melissa Bickford, Tiffany Pastor and Maile Belles.
Have a great day!
