Hi there! It's Day 4 of the Papertrey Countdown and today, it's a group post day which means that each of the design team members have projects to share with you. (All of the goodies you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on Nov. 15.) For today, we're all focusing on a new set designed by Nichole Heady, called Door to Door. This set consists of various architectural images that you can use to build little front door scenes and the fun part is the collection of coordinating dies that allow you to create doors that actually open on your card front!
As you can see here, I tucked a bit of kraft card stock inside the door, with a "celebrate" sentiment to reiterate the "Happy Birthday" that was stamped on the little banner above the door.
I also used dies from the set to add little urns filled with leaves and acorns, for this fall birthday card.
Next up, how about some more Glory Be cards? :)
First up, I decided to pull out the Garden Variety stamp set and dies to create this fun little seed packet focal point. The button card die was also used to cut out the cream layer behind the seed packet frame die cut. That way, I had a place to stamp the flowers/stems from Garden Variety so they can peek out of the watering can die cut. A loop of summer sunrise grosgrain ribbon was added just behind the button seed packet for a pop of color.
I stamped Background Basics: Woodgrain on the hawaiian shores card base, using versamark ink.
The sentiments, "My, oh my" and "You're just somethin' else", are both from Glory Be and were stamped using dark chocolate ink. Just below the sentiments, I added a strip of dark chocolate card stock as well as a bit of vintage book print that was cut with the small scalloped border die. A couple of Hero Arts rhinestones were added for a final pop of the goldy-yellow color.
Next up, a fun little get well card. On the kraft card base, I stamped one of the leaf images from Turning a New Leaf, using versamark ink. Next, I die cut another cluster of leaves and stamped them using pure poppy ink.
The tag sale #4 die was used to cut out the cream tag and a doily details die cut was added on top of the tag. Next, I stamped the "herbal tea company" image and punched it out with a circle punch. The teapot was die cut with one of the Tea For Two dies and stamped with an image from the Tea For Two stamp set. A few red rhinestones were added for a little sparkle.
The sentiments just make me smile. The "Land Sakes" is from Glory Be and the "Get well soon" is from Tea For Two.
One more for today......this one is super simple, but cheery none-the-less.
I die cut some Basic Gray patterned paper from their Hello Luscious collection, using the mat stack 4 die. I also stamped a bee from the Honey Bees stamp set and cut it out, adhering it with a bit of foam adhesive, to the flowered paper.
An angled labels die was used to cut out some rustic cream card stock and that's where I stamped the sentiment, "Oh, my Lordy bees". An edgers #3 die was used to add a decorative detail to a strip of aqua mist card stock and I added another sentiment, "I'm over the moon for you".....both sentiments are from Glory Be.
Thanks so much for sharing a bit of your day with me! I so hope you've been enjoying these countdown posts!
