Hi-ya! Happy First of December! I can't believe I'm saying that -- December already! Ack! Well I don't know about you, but I'm determined to get my Christmas prep done as early as I can this year, so that I can enjoy those last few weeks before Christmas. That being said, this month's Senior Design Team Challenge couldn't have come at a better time! This month, Nichole challenged us to pull out our Vintage Ornaments and Vintage Ornaments Additions stamp sets to create a gift tag and a card. I totally need to bulk up my gift tag stash -- it's almost time to start wrapping gifts -- so this was perfect!
I started out by creating these unique gift tags by using the Half & Half dies on kraft card stock. I stamped a to/from type image from the 2011 Holiday Tags stamp set at the bottom of each tag and added some scallops as well as some vintage book print. Next, the Vintage Ornaments Dies and stamps were used to create the ornaments for each tag.
I loved these aqua mist/hawaiian shores and berry sorbet/pure poppy color pairings, so I decided to use the red combo on my card too!
I used another of those Half & Half die cuts and stamped a flourish from the Half & Half stamp set on either side. I layered this on a bit more vintage book print.
The Vintage Ornaments dies were used to create these ornaments and they were stamped with a coordinating image from Vintage Ornaments Additions.
The "Sending you Christmas joy!" sentiment is from Vintage Ornaments and the Holly Jolly dies were used to add the bits of holly to the ornaments and the sentiment.
Are you feeling inspired to do a little Christmas creating yourself? Remember that when creating gift tags, they can be any shape you'd like so pull out those Half & Half dies (or anything else you can dream up!) to create custom gift tags!
