Hi-ya! This is the first of two posts today, so be sure to scroll up so you don't miss either one! For now, I'm so excited to share a couple of projects with you, that I created using Papertrey's 2012 anniversary set, Pretty Peonies! This set is GORGEOUS and the best part is that based on your purchases, you can earn points during the year, which can then be redeemed for this set! So you can get it for FREE! Gotta love that! All the details can be found on Nichole's blog, about how to get this set for yourself.
Pretty Peonies is a beautiful set that includes a little bit of everything that I love -- fabulous sentiments, gorgeous and extremely versatile frames and beautiful flowers that are super classy and easy to use! Whipping up some cards using Pretty Peonies was a joy! This set will definitely be getting a lot of use from me!
I stamped the trio of leaves (which are all on one stamp! LOVE that!) on the rustic cream card base using simply chartreuse ink. Next, I stamped the pretty rectangle frame on spring moss card stock using simply chartreuse ink and then cut it out. The darling sentiment was stamped with ripe avocado ink. Lastly, the flower was stamped with pure poppy ink on berry sorbet card stock, cut out and adhered with foam adhesive. Berry sorbet buttons finish off the focal point.
Along the bottom of the card, I used an Edgers die to create a decorative edge on the card front and the eyelet lace border die was used to add some scallops just below the cream panel.
Next up is a cheery little birthday card.....on the kraft card base is the striped patterned paper from the Raspberry Fizz Pattern Pack.
I die cut some terracotta tile card stock with a limitless layers oval die and added a kraft frame from Pretty Peonies that was stamped with kraft ink and hand cut. Topping the frame is the butterfly from Pretty Peonies, stamped in raspberry fizz ink and cut out.
And how about that gorgeous "happy"???? It's also from.....you guessed it.....Pretty Peonies, as well as the "birthday". I also added a strip of terracotta tile card stock that was die cut with an edgers die, to add one last bit of detail to the sentiment.
If you're as in love with Pretty Peonies as I am, be sure to head over to Nichole's blog to read all the details of how you can get one of these sets for yourself!!
