The Countdown is on at Papertrey Ink and today, Nichole's got another fun challenge for you along with another amazing prize package filled with some of this month's brand new goodies and more! Today's challenge is to use one of the 5 sketches Nichole has provided on her blog, to create a project of your own. Just for fun, I decided to play along with the challenge. I used the sketch above and came up with this.....
It couldn't have been easier to recreate that sketch on a card, using the wine bottle tag die.....it makes the perfect little flag-y shape, when you trim the rounded portion off the top!
I was also super inspired by this gorgeous card Melissa Phillips made the other day, and couldn't wait to bust out my felt and create a felt flower of my own. It's been way too long! I stacked up a variety of different die cut flowers, added a snippet of adhesive lace and then stitched right thru all the layers with my sewing machine, just like Melissa did. Good grief, that was fast and easy!! I'm in love. All that was left to do was hand stitch a button thru the layers.
I used my Celebrations stamp set as well as my Dearest Jane patterned paper to finish off the card. Happy indeed!!
