Hi there! Welcome to Day 1 of the April Papertrey Countdown! I'm thrilled to have a couple new products to introduce you to this month, starting with a brand new stamp set called Tagged Sentiments! Tagged Sentiments contains 4 different vintage label styled sentiment tags featuring a fun pairing of words and numbers that I think you'll find both fun and easy to use! The tags coordinate with a 1 3/4" circle punch and the Limitless Layers: 1 3/4" circle dies, as well as other previously released Papertrey items such as the Mat Stack collection! Tagged Sentiments also includes 3 additional sentiments featuring unique and stylish font pairings, making this set a great addition to your collection that will cover quite a few different occasions!
Let's get right to today's first project, shall we?
Here, you can see one of the tags from Tagged Sentiments....it features the sentiment, "You are the only 1 for me" and also says, "Love you". I stamped the tag in hawaiian shores ink on rustic cream card stock and layered it on a pinked edge circle that was die cut with a limitless layers: 1 3/4" circle die. Beneath the tag image, is a piece of new leaf card stock that was die cut with the tag sale #6 die and then I ran it thru my Vagabond with the woodgrain impression plate before adhering it to the card and trimming off the top portion of the tag.
Beneath the tag, is a peek at a new stamp set this month from Heather Nichols....stay tuned to her blog this week for more info! I stamped the pattern using new leaf ink on rustic cream card stock. I also die cut a strip of new leaf card stock with the heart border die and tucked it behind the cream layer, so that the top edge of the hearts is peeking out, creating a scalloped edge. The card base it hawaiian shores card stock.
Mmmmm.....here's another fun one! I started out again, with a hawaiian shores card base and added a piece of vintage book print.....it's just a page out of an old book of children's stories. I busted out some Mister Huey's spray mist on this one....I splattered on some mist in Dewey and then added a strip of smokey shadow striped paper -- it's one of the new Pattern Pack collections this month and you are going to LOVE it!! I will tell you honestly, that when I first looked at the Smokey Shadow Pattern Pack, I thought I wasn't going to use it much. But then I pulled out this striped pattern and would you believe....I've used it on FIVE cards already, in the last couple of days! I love it!! So....I added strip of the striped paper and cut the edges in a point. Then, I added some Prima "Say It In Crystals" in that scrummy chartreuse-y color.
Here's a close up of another tag from Tagged Sentiments.....this one says, "You are just 2 sweet" and "Thank you". Besides being fun for thank you cards, this tag would also work so well on treats for teachers or perhaps little wedding favors or other party favors.
I love how the Mister Huey's droplets and crystals look together. Such a fun pairing!
I'm also thrilled to show you a new set of dies I have coming out this month....the Notched Flowers die collection!
The Notched Flowers die collection contains 3 dies and will allow you to make those darling notched flowers that are popping up all over the paper-crafting world!
Just look at how cute felt looks when cut with these dies!!
Ahhh.....adorable and the nice thing is these flowers are able to be a little more 'flat' so they don't have to stick off your card front quite so much.
I used the Notched Flowers dies to cut 3 flowers from vintage cream felt and stitched them together with a hibiscus burst button and some chocolate baker's twine. The kraft leaves were cut with the Sending You leaf die and were inked just a bit with vintage touch tea dye. The whole flower is layered on a tag sale #5 die cut and the fun little sentiments, "Land Sakes" and "Thank you so much" are both from my Glory Be stamp set!
