Hello there! I'm so glad you popped in today....it's day 2 of the Papertrey Countdown and I've got quite a few fun projects to share with you today! Not only do I get the pleasure of sharing more Tagged Sentiments and Notched Flowers die projects with you, but I also get to help introduce a new stamp set designed by Melissa Bickford....it's the next in her Heart-2-Heart series and it's a cutie! All of these new goodies that you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning at 10pm EST on April 15th.
For starters, how about I show you a couple more tag image sneak peeks from Tagged Sentiments!
This one makes me smile....."He & she plus baby makes 3....CONGRATS". :) I stamped this tag in hibiscus burst ink on rustic cream card stock and layered it on a scalloped circle that was die cut with a limitless layers die. Behind that is a berry sorbet doily that was die cut with a doily details die. Along the bottom of the card, I added a strip of rustic cream card stock that I stamped with Polka Dot Basics II and berry sorbet ink. The card base is hisbiscus burst card stock and the bitty dot paper in the background is from the new Melon Berry Pattern Pack.
Let me just interject that you may want to get these pattern packs in every. single. color. LOL! I loooove using them....they're just so darn versatile and not only that, they're eeeeeasy to use because they're already color coordinated with all of the other Papertrey supplies. You know I'm a stickler for color coordination and these Pattern Packs make it a cinch!
Here's another pattern -- this time the stripes, also from the Melon Berry Pattern Pack, but look how cute it looks when layered on berry sorbet card stock!
I got a little collage-y on this one. Before adding anything else, I splattered on some Mister Huey's calico white spray mist. (link below) Next, I added a strip of vintage book print that I'd cut to points on either end. I layered a strip of kraft ribbon and a star border from the Super Stars Border Dies and stitched those layers together with my sewing machine. I left the thread tails hanging and then adhered the whole bundle to the card front.
Next, I stamped another tag from Tagged Sentiments -- "Just a little something 4 you" -- using aqua mist ink and layered it on a pinked edge die cut of hawaiian shores card stock. Lastly, I added a few Basic Grey opaline pearls to finish things off.
Now, how about we talk about Melissa's new Heart-2-Heart #3 stamp set! This card turned out so cheery! I started with a rustic cream card base and added a striped piece of patterned paper from the new Smokey Shadow Pattern Pack as well as a piece of vintage book print on top of that.
Next, I pulled out my favorite heart image from Heart-2-Heart #3 and stamped a background pattern with it, alternating the rows with raspberry fizz and pure poppy inks. I stitched that layer in place and roughed up the edges a bit, once it was stitched down.
The flower was made with my new Notched Flowers dies and a piece of pure poppy card stock, dotty paper from the raspberry fizz pattern pack and more vintage book print. I stitched the layers together with a smokey shadow button and some poppy baker's twine and then fluffed the flower layers forward a bit. The "Thank you" sentiment is from Heart-2-Heart #3. I tore a double-ended banners die cut in half and stamped the "Thank" on one half using smokey shadow ink and the "you" on the other, and then tucked them behind the flower. I love little sentiment flags like that!
For this card, I started out with an aqua mist card base and stitched on some aqua mist patterned paper from the Pattern Pack. I die cut some rustic cream card stock with the tag sale #6 die and added the little kraft topper as well, before wrapping it with some new leaf baker's twine and tying it off in a little bow.
The flower was created with papers from the new Melon Berry Pattern Pack and my Notched Flowers dies. Foam adhesive was placed between each layer for more dimension. I topped the flower with a heart that was die cut with the new Heart-2-Heart #3 die and stamped with another of the heart images from the stamp set, using aqua mist ink. The kraft leaves behind the flower were created with the Turning a New Leaf dies. The "Thank you" and tiny heart at the bottom of the tag are also from Heart-2-Heart #3.
Mmm....here's one more fun card for you. For this one, I used more of that great new Smokey Shadow Pattern Pack paper....this time, the stripes....and die cut it with the wine bottle tag die. I'll tell you what, even if you never use the wine bottle tag die on an actual bottle of wine, that die is worth it's weight in gold! It's just so pretty, when used on cards!
I pulled out Maile's Beautiful Butterflies stamps and dies and created these layered butterflies using vintage book print and new leaf & hawaiian shores inks. I topped the butterflies with hearts from Heart-2-Heart #3, alternating the ink colors, and stitched the butterfly layers together before adding them to the card front.
In between the butterflies, I created a little book print flower with the Notched Flowers dies and a new leaf button and baker's twine.
At the bottom of the card, I stamped one of the additional sentiments from my Tagged Sentiments stamp set, "You're in my thoughts today", using smokey shadow ink.
That's the last of my projects for today, but I'll be back tomorrow with lots more to share! In the meantime, Nichole Heady and Erin Lincoln have more exciting things to share with you today! Plus, Heather Nichols, Maile Belles, Melissa Bickford and Lexi Daly will all be showing you additional peeks at their newest stamp sets so be sure to pay them a visit!
Thanks so much for sharing a bit of your day with me. I hope to see you back here again tomorrow!
Take care,
