Hi there!
Welcome back for another day of Papertrey Countdown fun! I've got a few more projects to share with you today, showcasing my new We Go Together stamp set, which will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on June 15.
To kick things off, let me tell you about this first card. I started off with an aqua mist card base and then cut a piece of rustic cream card stock that I stamped with Polka Dot Basics II, using aqua mist ink, along the bottom of the panel. Next, I stamped some leaves and berries from the Harvest Berries stamp set, using both new leaf and pure poppy inks.
Two flowers were stamped and hand cut, using images from the Natural Beauties stamp set -- the red flower was stamped using pure poppy ink for both layers. I simply stamped off the first layer on scratch paper to lighten the pure poppy ink, so that when I stamped the shadow image on top, also using pure poppy ink, it showed up well. The larger flower was stamped using aqua mist on the solid flower image and new leaf ink on the shadow image over the top. Both flowers were topped with dark chocolate buttons.
The sentiment is, of course, from We Go Together. I stamped it first, directly on the cream panel using dark chocolate ink and then stamped it a second time using pure poppy ink on another piece of card stock, which I cut out, creating a little banner.
Next up is a card featuring another new set being released this week -- Lovely Layers. Check Nichole's blog today, for lots more info about this set! I used one of the layered images to create a pretty background pattern, stamping melon berry ink on melon berry card stock.
The sentiment is another from the We Go Together stamp set and was stamped using dark chocolate ink.
For the focal point, I used the Lovely Layers dies and stamps to create this multi-layered arrangement. All layers were stamped with melon berry and dark chocolate inks and foam adhesive was used behind each layer.
One more for today.....I busted out Background Basics: Newsprint to stamp the background on this one, using smokey shadow ink. Next, I inked up the edges of the card base with vintage touch tea dye ink.
The Mat Stack 5 stamp set and die were used to create the decorative layer here. And over the top, I added a Limitless Layers: 2 1/4" Oval die cut. I used another of the sentiments from We Go Together here, however this time, I broke the sentiment up and stamped it in two portions. I masked off the bottom portion of the sentiment with scotch tape and stamped it on the oval...."There are a few things I wouldn't want to do without".
Then I die cut some aqua mist card stock with a Half & Half die and repeated the masking process, this time covering up the top portion of the sentiment and just stamping the bottom half on the Half & Half die cut.
That's it for me today, but I hope you've enjoyed today's projects!! I hope to hear from you! Your comments totally brighten my day!
