Hello there!
I've got my Summer of '69 projects to share with you today! This is the August main kit from Studio Calico. I also used the Six String and Five & Dime add-on kits on these projects, and used stamps from the other two add-ons as well (Mama's Porch and Drive In).
There is a fun sheet of die cuts from the Nostalgia line by My Mind's Eye included in the Six String kit. The sheet includes 4 die cut vintage-styled button cards that I couldn't resist, so rather than choose which one to work with, I used all 4 to whip up a fun set of note cards.
(There are still some Six String kits available this morning, so run over and snag one if you're wanting one!)
To keep the set of cards unified, I used the background stamp from Five & Dime on each card, a button card on each card, and added a sentiment with little letter stickers on each one. Beyond that, I let the details be completely unique on each card.
Papertrey Ink's beautiful butterflies dies were used on this card.
Papertrey's Notched Flowers dies and Turning a New Leaf dies wee used on this one.
More Turning a New Leaf die cuts here, as well as Beautiful Blooms II dies.
On this one, I used Papertrey's Doily Details die and a Limitless Layers: 1 3/4" circle die.
I used a couple of Limitless Layers: 1 3/4" circle dies again on this one.
The sentiment on this one is actually one long sentence all in a row, so I used some simple masking with scotch tape, to stamp it in smaller sections to fit the bag on the card.
I tucked a tag with a fun little message on it, inside the bag on the card front. So fun!
The Turning a New Leaf die was used here again.
I hope you've enjoyed this month's Studio Calico projects! Were you able to snag some of these kits for yourself?
What're you up to today? It's all Olympics all the time, over here! Haha. Were those Opening Ceremonies last night GREAT, or what??? My favorite opening ceremonies to date! So many great moments.....the torches turned huge cauldron, Her Majesty, the Queen and James Bond!!!, the Abe Lincoln looking dudes w/the old-time wagons, the smokestacks, the Olympic rings spraying fire out the bottom as they hung in the air, Mary Poppins!!.....I could go on. Needless to say, I loved it.
This morning, we've already watched some cycling and now swimming. I love the Olympics, don't you? Happy sigh....
