Hello there, Peeps!
Well, I don't know about you but I've been trying to get back into the groove around here, now that Stamp-A-Faire is behind us and I've been trying to catch up on a little rest as well. Plus, we're still working on some training with the sweet boy you see in the photo above. :) His trainer came over today, for our first post-training training session. Haha. We went to the dog park for training this morning -- the first time we've been since before he went to training school -- so, boy, is he worn out today! Firstly, it's hotter than heck here -- even at 7am. Secondly, he has to actually 'work' to concentrate on training and what he's being asked to do....not constantly, of course, but he's learning and being challenged so that wears him out. And thirdly, he got to run his little (big) legs off and play with other dogs today and he looooves that!! So he's been a sleepy little (big) camper today.
He's doing so well with the training (and so are we, since most of the training is really about us more than him! Ha), but he's still just a year old, so some of the goofy puppy stuff, will go away as he matures (and then I'm sure I'll miss the goofy puppy stuff!). But I'm so proud of my boy. You should have seen him at the park today. He's so haaaaappy there. You can see it all over his face.
We're also still eating lots of these homegrown beauties. I can't even describe how much better homegrown tomatoes are, than the store-bought ones. But if you've had both, then you know just what I'm talking about. There's just no comparison.
Poor Bartley's been a watering machine lately, trying to keep everything alive, since it's hotter than you know what here, right now. I'm so thankful for him. And for water. :)
I've also got a shopping tip or two for you.....Have you seen this darling new line from My Mind's Eye -- The Sweetest Thing?? Gosh, it's cute. Love the colors -- there are several different color groups in this line -- and look at that cute washi! Gah. It's all in stock at Two Peas right now, fresh from CHA, so run on over if you've been wanting to snag some new CHA goodies! Good luck trying to decide which items to get though! Ha.
They've also got this gorgeous Christmas line -- All Is Bright.
And holy smoke, look at these cute new washi tapes from Freckeled Fawn! I can't decide which one I like the best, the woodgrain or the red one in the middle! Or maybe the yellow stripes?! Can't decide. Can't wait to try them out though! There are 19 different ones at Two Peas right now, so click the link to check them all out.
Oh, and in case you're wondering, this is the one Windsor prefers. I tweeted about it the other day.....the little goofball was sitting right next to me in the studio making a weird licking noise. I looked over at him and he stopped. I looked away and he started it again, so I looked at him and asked him what he was doing. He stopped and held perfectly still. So I went back to work and he started again so AGAIN I looked at him and asked him if he had something in his mouth. He sat perfectly still and just looked at me, completely innocent. When I looked away, he got up and went and laid in the studio doorway so my back was now to him....and he started making the weird licking noise again. Finally I got (even more) suspicious and turned around and looked at him and said DROP IT and he immediately spit out a roll of washi tape!!! The roll I linked above! The stinker had hidden that washi tape in his mouth for FIVE minutes and I couldn't even tell he had anything in his mouth when looking at him! Sneaky boy. Haha. So you know which roll gets Win's vote. You can shop with confidence on that one!
We're here for you. :)
And for those of you wondering, yes the washi survived. The plastic roll it's on has a few teeth marks in it, but the tape is otherwise still usable. (Once I threw away the slobbery outer layer, of course!)
Ellen Hutson also has some fun new products including these Authentique patterned papers. This Christmas collection looks sooo pretty! I love the vintage touches and the black mixed in with traditional Christmas colors. Ellen also has lots of new Basic Grey items for you to check out.
And don't miss out on the new Heyday items from Studio Calico, at Ellen Hutson too!! This includes the FUN wood veneer words I've been so smitten with!
Hope your week is going well!
Smooches,
