Hello there! So we're back for Day 3 of the Papertrey September Countdown and today, I've got some more Happiest of Holidays and Think Big Favorites #20 cards to share with you!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on September 15 at 10pm EST.
On this first card, I started out with a rustic cream card base and added a piece of vintage sheet music from an old hymnal that a sweet friend gave me. If you ever see old hymnals at thrift stores or garage sales, snatch them up!! They have a section of Christmas carols in them, that are soooo fun to use for Christmas cards and other projects! I couldn't resist pairing the Silent Night sheet music with the Silent Night sentiment from Happiest of Holidays!
I inked the edges of everything with vintage touch tea dye ink to add to the vintage feel.
I die cut a strip of rustic cream card stock with a half & half die and added Martha Stewart white gold glitter to the top portion (watch for a Make It Monday video on this fun little detail, coming soon!!). A kraft button threaded with rustic jute button twine was added and the Silent Night sentiment was stamped on a Happy Day die cut.
The bottom portion of the Half & Half die cut was embossed with the Herringbone impression plate for a bit more detail and another button as well as a snippet of kraft grosgrain was added below the sentiment.
Next up, is another Happiest of Holidays sentiment....I love this one. :) I paired this one with several different stamps and dies......
The sentiment was stamped on kraft card stock with true black ink.
In the background, I stamped the mistletoe image from the new Mistletoe & Holly stamp set, using vintage cream ink, and added the berries (from the same set) with pure poppy ink. I also stamped the mistletoe again on rustic cream card stock with ripe avocado ink and cut the leaves apart, so I could layer them behind the flower. The flower was created from pure poppy felt, with the Christmas Poinsettia dies, and topped with a vintage cream button and some poppy baker's twine.
Just below the flower, I added one of the frame images from Fabulous Frames. I love that extra bit of detail that helps to tie in a bit more of the hawaiian shores color.
One more for today.....this one using Think Big Favorites #20, as well as Mistletoe & Holly again, along with Bells & Boughs from last year.
I added some bitty dot paper from the Raspberry Fizz pattern pack, to a rustic cream card base. Next came another layer of rustic cream card stock, stamped with the mistletoe and berries from Mistletoe & Holly. Just below that, I added a strip of pure poppy card stock.
The bells were die cut with the Bells & Boughs die and stamped with versamark ink, before heat embossing with gold embossing powder. They're topped with a bit more baker's twine. Just below the bells is another frame image from Fabulous Frames, that was stamped with pure poppy ink. The sentiment along the bottom, from Think Big Favorites #20, was stamped with raspberry fizz ink.
All righty, that's it for now, but I'll be back tomorrow with lots more to share! I hope you'll stop by!
For today, you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Melissa Phillips and Ashley Cannon Newell for lots more sneak peeks. Heather Nichols, Melissa Bickford, Tiffany Pastor and Lizzie Jones will have peeks at their new sets as well.
