Hi there! Back again for Day 2 of the Papertrey September Countdown! I'm so glad you could join me, because today, I'd like to introduce you to the next installment in the Think Big Favorites series! Think Big Favorites #20 features super-sized versions of three sentiments from my previously released Christmas Poinsettia stamp set. Because of their large size, these sentiments can be used on card fronts, and will also look BEAUTIFUL on the inside of your cards too!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on September 15 at 10pm EST.
For this first card, I started out with a kraft card base and ran it thru the Vagabond with my Herringbone impression plate. I just adore the texture this particular plate adds!! Next, I pulled out my Damask Snowflakes dies and cut out one of each, both from rustic cream card stock. I adhered the two snowflakes together, inked the edges with vintage touch tea die ink and then added coarse Martha Stewart glitter all around the edges. The Merry Christmas tag from Holiday Lights, was stamped in pure poppy ink on rustic cream card stock and was layered on a scalloped pure poppy die cut. (Limitless Layers: 1 3/4" circle dies) Tucked just behind the scalloped layer are the peppermint stick and candy cane from my Candy Cane Christmas stamp set. I tied a rustic jute button twine bow around the candy cane for one last rustic touch.
Before running the card base thru the Vagabond with the impression plate, I stamped it with this sentiment from Think Big Favorites #20!
Next up is a super simple card that would be so easy to mass produce, and if you chose to leave off the buttons, this card would also be super flat for mailing purposes.
I used a couple of bracket images from Holiday Photo Finishers to create the 'frame' around the sentiment, stamping them in new leaf ink. I lined up both brackets on my stamp block and stamped the bottom row first, and then the top row. By stamping them both at once, you can cut down on your stamp time by quite a bit!
The sentiment, from Think Big Favorites #20, was stamped on a rustic cream card stock strip with pure poppy ink, and tucked on either side of the strip, are small strips of bitty dot paper from the pure poppy pattern pack. Finishing things off, are a couple of new leaf buttons threaded with pure poppy baker's twine.
One more for you today....I went a little vintage-y on this one.
I started out with a rustic cream card base and inked the edges with vintage touch tea die ink. Next, I stamped the Silent Night sentiment, from Happiest of Holidays, using hawaiian shores ink and then ran the card front thru the Vagabond with the Sheet Music impression plate. The frame was die cut from aqua mist card stock using a Fabulous Frames die.
The tag image here, is from my Star of Wonder stamp set and was stamped using hawaiian shores ink and both circle layers were cut out with Limitless Layers dies. Just below the frame, I added a strip of new leaf grosgrain ribbon as well as some bitty dot paper from the New Leaf Pattern Pack and die cut with another die from the Fabulous Frames collection.
I also wanted to show you, for sizing purposes, just how well the Think Big Favorites #20 sentiments work on the inside of a card! Here's a peek inside the Silent Night card.
All righty, Crew....that's it for me today, but thank you so much for stopping by!! I hope you'll visit me again tomorrow, for lots more Countdown fun!
