Hi there!
Welcome back!! It's time for a Papertrey Group Post! Today, all of the girls on the Design Team are featuring a new set designed by Nichole Heady, called Santa Stationery! This is a really fun set with a lot of different uses, which you'll see as you visit each of the girls' blogs today.
I created a fun little set of Santa letterhead which could be used to send fun notes to your little ones, straight from Santa's desk (!), or if you don't have littles, you could use this fun letterhead to send a Christmas-y note to a loved one. I'm saving mine to write fun little notes to Bart on, as it gets closer to Christmas!
Of course, you can see in the photo above, that the letterhead has already been 'signed' by Santa Claus, so all I'll have to do is jot Bart a note (from Santa, of course) and leave it for him to find! :) (I stamped the letterhead on regular copy paper....to make it more official, of course!)
Across the top of the letterhead, I stamped the "from the desk of Santa Claus" image, as well as the "official North Pole" seal on either side.
Along the bottom are the "workshop headquarters" image and the "Merry Christmas" sentiment -- because we all know that Santa would always include Merry Christmas wishes on his letterhead -- as well as the "checked twice and signed by" image and of course, Santa's signature.
Fun, right?
And GAH! Just look at all the fun images that can be used on the envelopes!!! There are so many mix and match options with this set!! Won't my little notes 'from Santa' look so cute, tucked away in these decked out envelopes?!
So in case you were wondering if Santa Stationery could also be used on a card, the answer is, "OF COURSE!"
I cut a rectangle of rustic cream card stock and then used the Edgers #4 die on both the top and the bottom, to create this large frame! Those Edgers dies sure are handy!
To get all of the spacing just right, I stamped the "From the desk of Santa Claus" image first. Next, I stamped the candy cane stripes image from Candy Cane Christmas twice -- once with pure poppy ink, and then again with raspberry fizz ink, shifting the image slightly to the right so the lines fell in between the first lines I'd stamped. Next, I stamped the "Merry Christmas" sentiment up top...
...and then used a glue pen to add the strip of Martha Stewart smoky quartz glitter. Lastly, I tied the raspberry fizz twill bow around the whole panel and popped it on the card front with foam adhesive.
Next up is another fun little card featuring another one of those Edgers dies! I started out with a kraft card base and a piece of pure poppy bitty dot paper. I die cut both sides of the dotty paper with the larger Edgers #1 die and then tucked a strip of Dearest Jane patterned paper behind either side before adhering it to the card front.
The sentiment, from Happiest of Holidays, was stamped in dark chocolate ink. I stamped the "laughter" banner a second time on cream card stock and cut it out, so that I could pop it up with a little foam adhesive.
For the focal point, I pulled out the Candy Cane Christmas set and dies, and created the little chocolate mug and candy cane sticks. I also used the circle image from Think Big Favorites #19, along with kraft ink and the Limitless Layers: 2 1/2" circle die to create that fun frame, to layer the cozy drink on!
One more before I go.....for this one, I started out with a kraft card base and embossed it with the woodgrain impression plate.
I stamped the sentiment from Think Big Favorites #20 on rustic cream card stock and added a strip of Martha Stewart smoky quartz glitter along the edge with a 2-way glue pen. I then die cut two of the 'frames' from Fabulous Frames, from striped Pure Poppy paper and adhered one on either side of the sentiment strip.
The ice skates were created with the On Ice die and stamp set....don't you love those fun socks and pom pom?!
Well, I hope you're getting in the mood to start your Christmas crafting! There's no time like the present....it'll be here before we know it!
