Hi there!! Happy September 1st to you! Fall is just around the corner and I couldn't be happier about it! The first of the month brings with it, the Senior Design Team challenge at Papertrey Ink and this month, we're focusing on the previously released stamp set, Wreath For All Seasons, designed by Nichole Heady, and perfect for fall! Each of the girls on the Senior Team have a fall project using Wreath For All Seasons, as well as a project focusing on another season. First up, let's chat about my fall project! I couldn't resist using the Shape Up Series: Pumpkin and Pumpkin Shapes dies to create a fun little pumpkin card. Then, to add the sentiment to the card, I created a little tag with Wreath For All Seasons, where I stamped the sentiment and tucked it at the top of the pumpkin.
I started out with melon berry card stock and created the pumpkin card base. Next, I cut out the pumpkin sections from melon berry patterned papers. To make it super easy to adhere the sections to the card front, I ran them thru my large Xyron sticker maker (after inking the edges with tea dye ink). This covered the back sides completely with adhesive, which made them super easy to peel and stick right to the card front!
Here, you can see the wreath tag I created by stamping the wreath branches with dark chocolate ink followed by the berries using melon berry and canyon clay inks. I stamped the "Happy" right on the wreath image and then stamped the "birthday" on canyon clay card stock and popped it up with a little foam adhesive. The bow is canyon clay twill ribbon. Tucked behind the wreath tag is the stem and some Winterberry die cut leaves, all cut from Dearest Jane patterned paper.
Next up is my first Christmas card of the year!I figure there's no time like the present to get started on Christmas cards! I started with a rustic cream card base and added pieces of patterned paper from both the pure poppy and simply chartreuse pattern packs, as well as a strip of hawaiian shores card stock. A ripe avocado button threaded with baker's twine accents the bottom of the card.
For the focal point, I die cut aqua mist card stock with the Mat Stack 3 die and stamped it with an image from the coordinating stamp set, using hawaiian shores ink. The wreath and berries from Wreath For All Seasons were stamped on rustic cream card stock (ripe avocado & pure poppy inks) and cut out. I added the "Merry" to the center of the wreath with hawaiian shores ink, and added the "Christmas" in ripe avocado ink on the mat stack layer. A twill pure poppy bow finished things off.
Be sure to visit the other girls on the Senior Team to check out their Wreath For All Seasons projects today!
