Hey there! Welcome back for Day 2 of the Countdown! I'm thrilled to have heard from so many of you that are super excited about the new Peaceful Pinecones stamp set and dies! I've got some more Peaceful Pinecones projects to share with you so let's get right to it!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on October 15 at 10pm EST.
For this first card, I thought I'd show you a one-layer (almost) card! Haha. Even though this is technically a two-layer card, it's still super flat and easily mailable, if you wanted to whip up something like this for your Christmas cards this year. The card base is dark chocolate card stock and the images are all stamped on rustic cream card stock. I have to tell you that I ADORE the silver and brown color scheme on this card! The silver ink is so shimmery in real life...it's just gorgeous when paired with the brown!
I stamped the sentiment (from the new Beautiful Blessings: Holiday stamp set -- see Nichole Heady's blog today, for all the details!) and pine boughs using dark chocolate ink, and then stamped the pinecones from Peaceful Pinecones and bracket (from the new Over Under Easy stamp set) using silver ink.
Next up is a fun little silent night card with a teensy surprise. ;)
I stitched a piece of simply chartreuse bitty dot paper to the rustic cream card base, using my sewing machine. Then, I die cut two pieces of rustic cream card stock using the tag sale #6 die and one of the new Peaceful Pinecones dies. I inked all the edges with vintage touch tea die ink. The branch was stamped with simply chartreuse ink and the pinecone with dark chocolate. A bit of red washi tape was wrapped around the tag before I tied some pure poppy baker's twine around the tag.
The Silent Night sentiment from my Happiest of Holidays stamp set, was stamped on the bottom of the tag using pure poppy ink.
Recognize that tiny little pinecone cluster in the middle of the sentiment?? Yep, coordinates with the images from Peaceful Pinecones!!
One more for you today.....another quick and easy one that you could easily whip up lots of, to mail out for Christmas this year!
The card base is kraft card stock and I stamped those fun snowflakes from Maile's new Snowflake Flurries stamp set (see Maile's blog and Nichole's blog for lots more info) using fresh snow ink. The sentiment is comprised of two sentiments from Peaceful Pinecones.
I included the 'from me to you' sentiment when designing Peaceful Pinecones, specifically for all of those individuals out there, who are sending Christmas cards from just themselves. I know it can be frustrating if you're a person on your own sending cards and all the sentiments say from 'us' or from 'our house', etc. So if you're sending Christmas cards from 'only you', this sentiment is for you! :)
For the pine branch, this time I stamped the needles in ocean tides ink and the stem in dark chocolate ink. Also, notice that the small pinecone has a second single pinecone die cut and popped up, so that the small pinecone creates even more dimension on an otherwise, really simple card.
That's all I've got for you today, but you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Heather Nichols and Jessica Witty for lots more sneak peeks. Maile Belles, Erin Lincoln and Melissa Bickford will have more peeks at their new sets as well.
Thanks so much for sharing a bit of your day with me!
Have a goodie!
