Hi there! I'm back again with Day 3 of the Papertrey October Countdown and I've got several more Peaceful Pinecones projects to share with you today.
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on October 15 at 10pm EST.
For this first card, I covered the front of a standard A2 sized card base with the striped paper from the pure poppy pattern pack. Next, I cut a piece of rustic cream card stock and stamped it with Peaceful Pinecones images, in the upper left corner, using dark chocolate ink and Encore! gold ink for the pinecones. In the upper right corner, I added a snippet of dark chocolate grosgrain ribbon as well as a kraft button threaded with chocolate baker's twine.
For the sentiment, I pulled out my Happiest of Holidays stamp set and stamped the "Peace, love & joy" sentiment in the lower right corner, using pure poppy ink.
Next up is a card that has a lot of style and detail, but is still really easy to mass-produce for your Christmas cards this year!
The kraft card base, was first stamped with the "Merry Christmas" sentiment from Peaceful Pinecones, using dark chocolate ink. Next, I ran the card front thru my Vagabond with the herringbone impression plate.
For the focal point, I stamped the pine branches on a mat stack 4 die cut using ripe avocado ink with a little ocean tides ink dragged around the edges of the branches before stamping. The pinecones were stamped in dark chocolate ink and then Prisma glitter was added to each section with a two-way glue pen. In real life, this looks like a frosty, snowy pinecone!! So fun! I topped the pinecones with a die cut bow that was created with the Bells & Bows stamp set and die. The "Peace & Joy" sentiment from Peaceful Pinecones was added to accent the pinecones, and the red ink was chosen, to balance out the red in the bow.
Lastly, a thin strip of rustic cream card stock was stamped with another sentiment from Peaceful Pinecones...."Just a note from our home to yours", and was then adhered to the card.
Here's a little peek for you, at the Peaceful Pinecones die collection. The two larger dies on the left are for pinecone branch clusters, and the three small dies on the right are a tiny cluster, a single pinecone and a single pine branch.
For the last project of the day, I have a fun little pillow box to show you. Firstly, this will make a perfect gift card holder for one of the guys in our family this Christmas, but you could easily make these year round, for the guys in your life! Simply top them with a non-holiday themed tag, if need be!
I started out by die cutting an Essential Pillow Box die cut, and then I stamped it with pine branches (two sizes) from Peaceful Pinecones, using dark chocolate ink followed by the pinecones in Encore! gold ink.
After assembling the pillow box (which consists of glueing one edge together....super hard, right?! Haha!), I added a tag and more pinecones to top it off.
The tag is from 2011 Holiday Tags and I used the limitless layers: 1 3/4" circle dies to cut out the layers. The Peaceful Pinecones die was used to cut out the pinecone cluster that was also stamped with dark chocolate and gold inks, before tucking it behind the tag.
That's it for me today, but you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Melissa Phillips and Ashley Cannon Newell for lots more sneak peeks at today's featured sets. Heather Nichols, Maile Belles, Erin Lincoln and Melissa Bickford will have peeks at their new sets as well.
Thanks so much for dropping by! I hope you enjoyed today's projects! I'll see you back here again tomorrow for more Peaceful Pinecones fun!
take care,
