Hello there and happy December!! Holy buckets, that means that Christmas is in 24 days! Eeee!
Well not to worry....if you're still needing Christmas card ideas, the Senior Design Team at Papertrey Ink, has some inspiration for you today. It's time for the Senior Team Challenge and this month, we're pulling out In the Meadow and we've each created a Christmas card to share as well as a non-Christmas card.
First up, let's talk Christmas. I saw this picture on Christmas and loved those little aqua trees, so I decided to use that for the jumping off point for my card.
I used the In the Meadow dies to cut out the aqua mist trees and then stamped the little snowflakes from the In the Meadow stamp set, using pure poppy ink. Next, I stamped the tree image from In the Meadow, over the top of the snowflakes, using aqua mist ink. I adhered the two on the left, flat on the card front, while popping the right tree up with foam adhesive.
Topping the trees are some new gems from Studio Calico's Darling Dear collection. I LOVE the shimmer in these gems! So pretty in real life!
Under the trees is a strip of patterned paper from the Candy Cane Prints collection. The sentiment from In the Meadow was stamped on the bottom of the card using pure poppy ink. Lastly, I die cut the sleigh and stamped it with the coordinating image, popping it up on the left side only, with foam adhesive, and adhering the right side (the horse) flush with the tree on the right.
As for my non-Christmas card, I was sooo inspired by Betsy's chalkboard-look stamping tutorial the other day, that I couldn't resist creating a little framed chalkboard of my own!
I used the 'thank you' sentiment and snowflakes from In the Meadow and followed Betsy's basic techniques to achieve this look. Under the sentiment is an image from Over Under Easy and the frame, is of course, from the recently released Stitched Sentiments stamp set. I stamped mini snowflakes on the dotted patterned paper, to kick up the background a little to finish things off.
That's it for me, but be sure to visit my sweet friends for their takes on today's challenge!!
