Hi-ya! Welcome back to day 2 of the Papertrey January Countdown! I've got a couple more cards to share with you today, featuring my new Happy For You stamp set.
{All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on January 15 at 10pm EST.}
This first card just plain makes me happy!
I started out with a berry sorbet card base and ran it thru the Vagabond with my Herringbone impression plate. Man, I love the texture that that plate adds! Next, I used one of the Mat Stack 6 dies to die cut some kraft card stock and then stamped a sentiment from Happy For You using true black ink.
For the flowers (happy sigh!!), I used The Sweet Life dies and stamps. To get that gorgeous pink color on the flowers, I stamped the back layer (on rustic cream card stock) with berry sorbet ink, the middle layer with raspberry fizz ink and the top layer with pure poppy ink. This might be my favorite color combo yet, with these flowers! For the leaves, I stamped them in kraft ink, topped with true black ink.
Lastly, I used the largest Fancy Flourishes die to cut some raspberry fizz card stock and then tore the die cut in half so that I could reposition the flourishes to be able to place them exactly where I wanted them, around the flowers.
Next up, how about something with a bit softer color palette?
The tag was cut with one of the new Tremendous Tags dies. I stamped the sentiment from Happy For You as well as some Harvest Berries images on the tag and added a snippet of winter wisteria twill ribbon.
The card base is plum pudding and I added a piece of Dearest Jane patterned paper that was stamped with images from the Harvest Berries stamp set using plum pudding, winter wisteria and lavendar moon inks. I inked the edges of the paper (as well as the tag) with vintage touch tea dye ink. Lastly, I spritzed the patterned paper with some Mister Huey's spray mist in Calico Shine, to give it a bit of shimmer.
That's it for me today, but I'll have more with Happy For You to show you tomorrow!
For today, you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady and Heather Nichols for lots more sneak peeks. Maile Belles and Melissa Bickford will have more peeks at their new sets as well.
Thanks so much for dropping by and thanks to each of you that take time to leave me a sweet note in the comments -- I appreciate each one.
xo,
