Hi there!! We are officially kicking off the Papertrey Ink February release and 6th Anniversary festivities today and to get things started, Nichole is sharing a bit about the Design Team. She asked each of us to share our 6 favorite projects and goodness, that was kind of a challenge! It's a bit like choosing your favorite child! Haha! But I narrowed it down to 6 projects and I think they are a good representation of my style. Here they are....
They incorporate some of my favorite things.....bright colors, a bit of a vintage feel, some stamp sets that I designed myself, and of course, FLOWERS! And to be more specific, flowers that Nichole Heady designed! I don't know what it is about that girl's designs, but her artwork -- particularly her flowers -- make me want to play with paper like nothing else! I sure hope she has more flowers in store for us in 2013 because I, for one, think you can never have too many flower images to choose from! Haha!
I've said many times before, how grateful I am for this job, but I don't know that I say often enough, how much I love my job. There are certainly stresses that come with this job, but I love that I get to be creative every day. I love that I get to work from home. I love that I get to set my own schedule, even though that schedule sometimes involves a LOT of hours (just ask my hottie hubs!). I love that I get to work with a great group of amazingly talented designers that inspire me each and every month. I love that I get to work for a company that is constantly innovating and dreaming up new and fabulous products to work with. (What the heck did we do before there were dies to coordinate with almost every stamp set?!) I love that I have a boss who is flexible and understanding, who is gracious and loving and who genuinely cares for each member of her team. I love that I get to interact with each of you on a daily basis. And I love that part of my job is playing with paper and making things that are pretty.
I can't believe this all started, 5 years ago when I met Nichole at a class she was teaching here in my town, for World Card Making Day! How far we've come since then!
