Hi-ya! It's Day 3 of the Papertrey March Countdown and I'm excited to show you a few more projects today, using Boutique Borders: Birthday!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on March 15 at 10pm EST.
To get started on this first card, I added a piece of vintage book print to the front of a kraft card base and then added a thin strip of melon berry card stock, which I stitched in place (with the help of a smidge of wet adhesive on the back).
The tag is comprised of several bits of this and that, which were literally just laying around my desk waiting for just the right project. The tag was cut from rustic cream card stock with the tag sale #5 die. Along the bottom is a little snippet of glittered trim topped with a piece of melon berry bitty dot paper, which was topped with a strip of cork hearts that were die cut with the heart border die.
The frame from Boutique Borders: Birthday was stamped on the tag using smokey shadow ink which was stamped off on scrap paper first. The same was done with the sentiment, also from Boutique Borders: Birthday. To finish off the tag, I tied a bit of rustic jute button twine to the top.
Next up, I've got a little chalkboard heart for you. :)
I used the limitless layers: Heart dies to cut out some smokey shadow card stock and some pure poppy bitty dot paper. I stamped the frame and sentiment from Boutique Borders: Birthday using versamark ink and then heat embossed them both with white embossing powder. Then I stamped them again, slightly off-setting them just a bit, using fresh snow ink. Next, I smudged on a bit of fresh snow ink using a sponge and then finished things off with a white pencil, by drawing a simple border around the remainder of the heart.
I layered the heart on some stamper's select white card stock that was die cut with the wine bottle tag die. I stamped one half of the Boutique Borders: Birthday frame above the heart and again below the heart using smokey shadow ink.
The card base is stamper's select white card stock topped with pure poppy bitty dot paper and tucked behind the right side of the patterned paper is a glittered eyelet lace border die cut.
One more for today.....Did you know you can also use Boutique Borders: Birthday to create a border? :) I cut a rustic cream card stock panel and added a strip of scor-tape all along the bottom edge of the panel, and then I sprinkled glitter all along the scor-tape to create a glitter strip. Above that, I added a thin strip of berry sorbet bitty dot paper and topped it with a thinner strip of pure poppy card stock. Just above the bitty dot paper, I stamped a border using half of the frame image from Boutique Borders: Birthday, stamping in the middle of the card stock first and working my way out on either side. The entire panel was added to the raspberry fizz card base with foam adhesive.
The sentiment from Boutique Borders: Birthday was stamped on the card base with smokey shadow ink.
I die cut and stamped some flowers and leaves from The Sweet Life. For the flowers, I used berry sorbet, raspberry fizz and pure poppy inks and for the leaves, I used spring moss and ripe avocado inks.
All righty, Crew, I hope you've enjoyed today's projects!
