Hi-ya!
I told you last year that we tried to grow ranunculus in our back yard, to no avail. So I was pretty thrilled to hear that Trader Joe's was selling bundles of fresh-cut ranunculus. (Thanks again for the tip, Becky!) If you can't grow 'em, buy 'em. That's my motto! Haha.
So while I was out and about yesterday, I stopped in and picked up these beauties. Seriously, so much detail....so many petals!
Also, this boy would like to say hello. After all, it's been a little while. He gave us quite a scare a couple weeks ago when he started throwing up one morning and continued throughout the day. By early afternoon, we decided he needed to get to the vet and as it turns out, the pain medicine he's been on to help his mild hip dysplasia had given him an ulcerated stomach. Poor boy! So needless to say, he's off that pain med and in fact can't have ANY pain meds for three weeks while his stomach heals up. We're pretty thrilled, though, with the fact that he hasn't seemed to be in any pain at all though, since going off the pain meds. We began giving him glucosamine months ago and we're thinking the glucosamine may be enough to keep his hips working well and him pain free. We'll see. Obviously we'd love it if he didn't need pain meds daily. That'd be awesome. So we'll see. It's been two weeks now and so far so good!
Wanna know how you get him to look at the camera so intently when normally he would look away as soon as you point it at him? Simply hold a baby carrot in the same hand as the camera! LOL! That boy'll do just about anything for a carrot. Haha.
In other news, we've entered the rare and wonderful world of MUD now that all of the snow we got last weekend is melting. Oh, it's lovely. I wish you could all share in this joy. ;)
Before I go, have you seen these pretty Webster's Pages bags at Two Peas?! They'd be so lovely on the front of a card with a little tag sticking out. Looks like there are packs of individual styles too, in case you want multiples of the same one.
And these new Amy Tangerine slick writers are calling out to my office supply-lovin' heart! Gah! Those colors! I saw Amy's picture of these on instagram & twitter yesterday and they've quickly popped to the top of my wish list. Thankfully, Two Peas has them in stock!
Wishing you a gorgeous (mud-free!) day, Dearies!
