Those of you that have been hanging around here for very long, know that the annual planting weekend here at the "McVey Ranch" is one of my favorite weekends of the year! This year's annual planting weekend happened this past weekend! And you probably also know by now that every annual planting weekend kicks off with the annual trip to the nursery! I looooove the trip to the nursery where we plot and plan and choose with care, each and every plant that we'll bring home with us. I decided this year, to break up our Annual Planting Weekend photos into three blog posts, as I took quite a few pictures to share. So today, we'll start with pictures from the trip to the nursery and then in another post, I'll share the actual planting day (and show you what all we planted) and then lastly, we'll talk tomatoes in the annual tomato post! I know you're super excited for that one, aren't you? Haha!
Anyway, for now, you'd better buckle up and get ready for a lot of flower pictures. ;)
This was one car full. We took two cars. Haha!
In other news, we got test results back from my biopsy/endoscopy last week. Firstly, it is definitely not Celiac disease, so that's great news. It could still be a gluten "sensitivity" though.
Also, they did find a sort of perferation on my esophagus just above where it connects to my stomach which is caused from excess acid in my stomach backing up into my esophagus and therefore damaging it. So I'm on a med for 3 months to minimize the acid in my stomach to allow my esophagus to heal.
For now, I'll continue to eat gluten, just in small doses, and to eat smaller portions in general which seems to help keep the worst symptoms at bay. And in the meantime, I've been feeling decent most days, so I can't complain! Definitely an improvement from feeling awful every day. :) Thank you so much for your continued prayers!! I appreciate each and every one!
Before I go, I also wanted to give you a head's up that starting this morning, if you spend $10 on My Mind's Eye product, you get a gift of free MME paper while supplies last! I've been so smitten with some of their new lines lately -- especially Cambridge Court and Up, Up & Away. Pop over and check 'em out if you're in the mood to do a little shopping!
