Hello there and happy May Day!! I can't believe the first of May is already upon us but with it brings the Senior Design Team Challenge at Papertrey Ink and this month, we're focusing on the Out To Sea stamp set! With all things nauticul being totally in fashion right now, it's the perfect time to pull out that set and give it some love! And not only that, but you may be surprised at how many "new" sets can pair beautifully with it! I was thrilled to find that this sentiment from Stylish Sentiments: Birthday works perfectly with Out To Sea!
To start off, I layered some pure poppy patterned paper on a kraft card base. Next, I began stamping on a rustic cream card stock panel, stamping the compass and coordinating directions in pure poppy ink. At the top of the card, I added a little kraft flag stamped with a sentiment from Out To Sea, using enchanted evening ink.
At the bottom of the cream panel, I stamped the sentiment from Stylish Sentiments: Birthday, using enchanted evening ink, followed by two of the small anchors from Out To Sea. I also stamped one of the stars from Out To Sea, and cut it out with paper snips, before adhering it to the card front. Lastly, some rustic jute button twine was tied around the bottom of the card, for one last nautical touch....it reminds me of rope!
