Hey there! Time for another installment of my Favorite Things!! It's the part of the show where I tell you about some of the things I'm loving right now and why. Hope you enjoy!
First up, I got a new iPhone 5 case this week at the Apple store and I LOVE It! Firstly, we have to talk about the color -- obviously it's pink. But in real life on my white iPhone, it's considerably brighter than it looks in Apple's photo above, which is my favorite part! Bright pink! Gah! Also, there's a thin orange-y band around the outside that looks sooo pretty with the bright pink. Annnnd, did you notice the little polka dots on the back? FUN!
Now practically speaking, I also love that it's slightly flexible plastic and it wraps all the way around so hopefully it'll protect my phone in case I drop it! It slides into my back pocket easily and as for price, it's $35 which I didn't think was too bad considering my previous case (from Target) cost that much.
Anyhoo, this pretty little case gets my vote. iRis, the iPhone is lookin' pretty spiffy these days! :)
Next up, Pam cooking spray -- but not for what you think!!
This is totally random, I know, but it's a new favorite of mine when I PAINT MY NAILS!! I saw this tip on Pinterest and have found that it works! After you paint your nails, spray them with Pam cooking spray. Wait two minutes and then wash it off. It helps to set the polish and dry it faster! A couple tips for you, that I've learned through trial and error.....
- When spraying, hold the can maybe 12" away from your hand. If you spray it too close, you'll end up with tiny air bubbles in your polish. Air bubbles = bad.
- After you wash your hands, dry them off with a SOFT towel. If you use one that's too stiff, it will sort of push the polish around on your nail, leaving wrinkles in the polish. Wrinkles = bad.
I'm still careful for a little while after I've used the Pam spray, but I have to say that they do seem to be dry much faster than without the spray! YAY! I've been able to paint them in the evening and then watch a tv show with Bartley and just like that, they're dry! Sweet! No more polishing right before bed and then laying perfectly still in bed all night! Hahahaha!
And one more for today...
This is the caramel with black sea salt Dark Chocolate Bar from Trader Joe's. It is SO YUM. I've heard that this is their most popular chocolate bar....not sure if that's true or not, but it's definitely the best in my book! I think it's maybe $2 or $3 and worth every penny in my humble opinion. :) Try it......with a big ole glass of milk!
These are a few of my favorite things!
Do you have any favorites we should all know about?
