Hello there! Welcome back for Day 2 of the Papertrey July Countdown!! I hope you're sitting somewhere comfy because I've got a LOT to share with you today! Haha! Put your feet up and relax....let's get right to today's projects!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on July 15 at 10pm EST.
Do you know the feeling when you make a card that you literally LOVE so much that it makes you so happy just to look at it?!!! That is how I feel about this card! Haha! I LOVE how it turned out! I started out by stamping the large dahlia image from Delightful Dahlia Additions twice, using hawaiian shores ink. Then I stamped the next shading layer with new leaf ink followed by the last shading layer with ripe avocado ink. As for those fabulous leaves (aren't they cool looking?!) they are stamped entirely with new leaf ink -- however I stamped each layer off once before stamping on this cream panel.
The "Dear Friend" sentiment is another from Delightful Dahlia Additions, stamped in smokey shadow ink. Above and below the flower panel is a bit of one of the images from the new Mat Stack 6 Collection peeking out (see Nichole's blog for lots more info).
On this next card, I used the new Mat Stack 6 Collection stamp set again, paired with Delightful Dahlia Additions.
The two frame layers were die cut with Mat Stack 6 dies -- the back layer from smokey shadow bitty dot paper and the top layer from rustic cream card stock. I stamped the striped image from Mat Stack 6 Collection using berry sorbet ink, as well as the scroll-y image (also from Mat Stack 6 Collection) right on top in smokey shadow ink. The two small dahlias were die cut with Delightful Dahlia dies and stamped with berry sorbet and pure poppy inks. The leaves were stamped with simply chartreuse ink on the large layer and (stamped off) ripe avocado ink on the shading layer.
On the bottom of the card front, I stamped Background Basics: Herringbone with berry sorbet ink and on the berry sorbet card stock layer, I stamped a sentiment from Delightful Dahlia Additions in smokey shadow ink. I hand cut the 'v' at the bottom.
Next up, I decided to get a little garden-y!
I stamped the 'garden fresh' image from Vegetable Garden a few times at the top of the kraft card base, not re-inking the stamp before stamping each time.
The tag sale #6 die was used to cut out the tag from vintage book print as well as a card stock layer (to give it some sturdiness). I stamped half of the Boutique Borders: Love frame on the bottom of the tag, using dark chocolate ink. The dahlias were stamped with berry sorbet, pure poppy and scarlet jewel inks. The artichoke image from Vegetable Garden was stamped with new leaf and ripe avocado inks.
The 'Thinking of you...' sentiment from Delightful Dahlia Additions was stamped on the card front before I ran it through the Vagabond with the chicken wire impression plate, to add to the garden theme!
Here's a simple little artsy card. I started out by watercoloring a bit of hawaiian shores ink for the background, as well as adding a few splatters. I used my heat tool to make sure the background was completely dry before stamping a bit of Background Basics: Newsprint over the top.
A few die cuts were added -- hawaiian shores heart border and some little flags die cut from pure poppy bitty dot paper with another new die from this release. ;) A few hearts from Boutique Borders: Love were stamped in the bottom corner and I added a Boutique Borders: Love die cut to the edge, simply trimming off one side of the die cut. The frame was stamped with hawaiian shores ink and the sentiment from Boutique Borders: Love was stamped with smokey shadow ink.
Next up is a card with a fancy little border!
In the upper right corner, I added a few die cut flags (there's that new die again!) that were stitched in place and topped with some hawaiian shores and new leaf buttons.
Along the bottom of the card, I stamped a new leaf border by using one end of the Boutique Borders: Love frame and stamping it three times! The "together" was die cut with the new Wonderful Words: Together die (more info about that from Nichole!) and just above the die cut, I stamped a couple sentiments from Boutique Borders: Love.
For today, you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady and Heather Nichols for lots more sneak peeks. Lizzie Jones and Melissa Bickford will have peeks at their new sets as well.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! What are you thinking of Delightful Dahlia Additions and Boutique Borders: Love so far?
I'll see you back here tomorrow for more sneak peek fun!
