So after my Make It Monday video yesterday, I've gotten quite a few questions regarding my stamp storage! Some of you caught a glimpse of the pockets that a couple of my stamp sets were in and have asked for details on what I use, where I buy them, etc. I use a couple of different things, so I thought I'd show you all in one post.
As you can see in the photo above, I have a lot of stamps in CD cases. This is still my main method of storage for all of Papertrey's smaller stamp sets -- so all the $5 and $15 sets.
The CD cases I use are on the right in the photo above. I get them at Target in the electronics section. You just pop the CD holder portion out of the middle (right into the recycling, that goes) and the case is ready for stamps. I put the labels on the outside of the case and the stamps on the inside, matched up with their corresponding image on the label.
Then, for all of Papertrey's background sets and the larger two-sheet sets ($24), I use the Tim Holtz storage pockets. (In the middle, in the photo above)

I also buy these Duralar acetate sheets (above left) from Amazon. I cut down a sheet of acetate to fit in the Tim Holtz pocket. Then, I apply the Papertrey stamp labels to one side of the acetate, flip the sheet over and stick the stamps on the back, on their corresponding image on the label. Lastly, I stick a piece of inexpensive white card stock in the folder behind the acetate (so, up against the stamps).
WORD OF CAUTION: I bought some cheapie acetate at first, and stuck my stamps on it just like I described above, and it somehow sort of ate a layer of stickiness off the back of my stamps on a couple sets! They don't stick very well to the blocks now, so don't do what I did! Make sure to buy acetate that won't damage your stamps!

And here's what they look like when you pull everything out of the pocket. When I'm pulling the stamps out, I pull the white card stock out too, so this way the stamps slide easily in and out of the sleeve, because essentially, they're sandwiched between the acetate and the card stock. It's a little hard to tell, but that acetate sheet has Papertrey's stamp labels stuck to the top side, and the corresponding stamps are stuck on the BACK side. The white card stock goes right behind that.
I LOVE this method. They're so darn easy to see every stamp in the set. The pockets have holes punched, so you could store them in a binder, but I have way too many for that, so they just stand up and I can easily flip through them.
I will also say that I know some people use this method for all their stamp sets regardless of size -- they simply put more than one small set in a pocket. You can do whatever works for you. I wouldn't want to combine stamp sets in a pocket, because it would be too much of a hassle when I'm looking for a particular set, to remember what's where. I need to simply be able to flip through the folders and see all the stamp set names across the top, or browse through my CD cases in alphabetical order. But whatever works for you is just dandy!
