Hi there!
So Papertrey's annual Stamp-a-Faire (online creative retreat) is in full swing and I'm here with a fun challenge for you, that the entire design team is participating in. This one is a bit of a color challenge and involves the gallon/quart/pint theory, in which you select three colors to work with and utilize one as your main color (gallon), one that's used a bit less and serves as the secondary color (quart) and one that is just used as an accent (pint). (Neutrals don't count)
So my color combo of choice for today, is aqua mist, hawaiian shores and new leaf. If you look at my card as a whole, you can see that I used aqua mist the most, hawaiian shores a bit but not as much, and I accented with new leaf. That's what you're going for if you want to play along with this challenge!
I had so much fun whipping up this card. For the Delightful Dahlia Additions flower, I stamped the main layer in aqua mist ink, the first (larger) shading layer with hawaiian shores ink and the top (smaller) layer with new leaf ink. Man, I love that combo!!
The flower was layered on a Boutique Borders: Love die cut and a stitched strip of hawaiian shores card stock was added as a place to anchor my flower.
The sentiment is from Delightful Dahlia Additions and after I'd stamped it, I ran the card front through the Vagabond with the Sheet Music Impression Plate for an extra bit of subtle detail!
Hope you decide to play along with this challenge! It's a fun one!
