Hello there! It's time for the Papertrey September Countdown and this month, I'm thrilled to be bringing you two more Raspberry Suite stamp sets! Background Basics: Stitching is a background building set featuring a couple of different stitching patterns that will allow you to add a bit of stamped "stitching" to all your projects! And of course, the next addition to the Boutique Borders series -- Boutique Borders: Christmas!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on September 15 at 10pm EST.
This first card features both stamp sets -- I couldn't resist pairing them up, but you'll soon see this week that they both work well alone as well as with a myriad of other stamp sets!
On this card, I die cut and stamped the frame from Boutique Borders: Christmas with ripe avocado ink and stamped a sentiment as well as the holly leaves and berries (also from Boutique Borders: Christmas) and layered that whole die cut on a doily details die cut. Behind the doily are some new leaf bitty dot leaves die cut with the Holly Jolly dies and I added some pure poppy button "berries".
I stamped a piece of aqua mist card stock with Background Basics: Stitching, using hawaiian shores ink. I LOVE the versatility of that pattern -- you could use it on just about any project you can dream up....everything from Christmas to birthday cards, baby to girly to even masculine cards! I love a stamp with that much versatility!
Next up is a card with a background that I adore -- um, I kind of want to do this again and again! I stamped the same stamp from Background Basics: Stitching using versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder on rustic cream card stock! The white on cream is such a COOOOOOL look in real life! I could see this being used on wedding cards, on Christmas cards (like with bright red poinsettias!), on super sweet gender neutral baby cards and lots more! Here's a close up....
Pretty, right?!
I die cut some Delightful Dahlias from berry sorbet card stock and stamped the three layers (from Delightful Dahlia Additions) using berry sorbet, pure poppy and scarlet jewel inks. Then for the leaves, I die cut them from aqua mist card stock and stamped the three layers using aqua mist, new leaf and ripe avocado.
The sentiment is from Delightful Dahlia Additions, and it's stamped on a half and half die cut.
Next up is another bonus Raspberry Suite product out this month -- the Stitching Impression Plate!!! It features two different stitching prints (that coordinate with Background Basics: Stitching) and you can see one of them in action here!
Firstly, I die cut a piece of rustic cream card stock with the new Cover Plate: Snow Drifts die (see Nichole's blog for lots more info about this!) and then stamped the frame and a sentiment from Boutique Borders: Christmas in the upper right corner. Next, I ran the die cut panel thru my Vagabond with the Stitching Impression Plate! So much texture!!
Lastly, I used the little tree companion die that comes with the Cover Plate: Snow Drifts die to cut out three little aqua mist trees. I added them to the card front with foam adhesive and then added glitter to the trees and the "snow drifts" with a glue pen and glitter. So simple and sweet.
I hope you've enjoyed today's projects! As usual, I'll be back tomorrow with lots more to share! In the meantime, you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Betsy Veldman, & Melissa Phillips for lots more sneak peeks. Heather Nichols, Maile Belles, Erin Lincoln, Melissa Bickford, Lexi Daly and Tiffany Pastor will have peeks at their new sets as well.
Take care and I'll see you again tomorrow!
