Hi there! Welcome back for Day 2 of the Papertrey Countdown! I'm excited to share some more sneak peeks with you, of my two new stamp sets this month, 2013 Holiday Tags and Boutique Borders: Thinking of You!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on October 15 at 10pm EST.
So this first card features several new goodies, starting with the "Merry Christmas" tag which is, of course, from 2013 Holiday Tags. I stamped it in ripe avocado ink. I layered the tag on a new snowflake die cut (see Nichole Heady's blog for more info about that!) and on the cream layer behind the snowflake, I stamped a new background stamp, that you can see Nichole's blog for more info about today, as well).
The heart border die was used to add the scalloped strip of ripe avocado card stock at the bottom.
Here's another tag from 2013 Holiday Tags, this time on a gift card holder! Notice the string of lights on the tag? They coordinate with my Holiday Lights stamp set!
I used the Gift Card Greetings die to cut out the gift card holder and then stamped the star string of lights from Holiday Lights, on the outside flap. The "A gift for you" tag was stamped in new leaf ink and layered on a scalloped new leaf oval and some pure poppy bitty dot paper.
I stamped another string of lights on the inside flap of the gift card holder, as well as a sentiment from Holiday Lights. This will be perfect to tuck a gift card into this Christmas!
And now, how about we switch gears and talk a bit about Boutique Borders: Thinking of You?
I die cut the Boutique Borders: Thinking of You frame and stamped the coordinating image in raspberry fizz ink, as well as one of the sentiments from the set, using dark chocolate ink. The melon berry layer behind the sentiment was impressed with the Stitching impression plate.
Along the bottom of the card, I added some die cut flowers and leaves from Mum's the Word. The flowers were cut from raspberry fizz, melon berry and berry sorbet card stocks and were each stamped with versamark ink. The scalloped strip below the dark chocolate strip, as well as the leaves, were all die cut from vintage book print.
One of the nice things about Boutique Borders: Thinking of You, is the fact that you can make both masculine and feminine cards with it. I decided to go a bit more masculine on this one.
I used Modern Wood Mats to stamp the back layer in terracotta tile ink and then added a die cut Boutique Borders: Thinking of You label next, stamped in canyon clay ink. On top of that, I added some leaves and an acorn that were created with the Autumn Acorns dies and stamps and below the focal point is one of the sentiments from Boutique Borders: Thinking of You.
That's it for me today, but I've got lots more to show you tomorrow, so I hope you'll stop back by!
For today, you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Heather Nichols, Melissa Phillips & Erin Lincoln for lots more sneak peeks. Maile Belles and Melissa Bickford will have peeks at their new sets as well.
Thanks so much for spending a bit of your day with me!
