Hello there! It's Day 3 of the Papertrey October Countdown and I've got a few more projects to share with you today, featuring 2013 Holiday Tags and Boutique Borders: Thinking of You.
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on October 15 at 10pm EST.
There are 8 different tag images in 2013 Holiday Tags -- 4 oriented vertically and 4 horizontally -- along with a variety of other sentiments and smaller images. I decided to use all 8 of the tags on one card and this was the result! I started out by laying the stamps out on the cream card stock, placing the focal tag first, arranging all the others around that focal tag, moving them all around until I was happy with the layout.
All of the tags were stamped in raspberry fizz, pure poppy and dark chocolate inks. I love the graphic look this background took on and the way it allows the focal tag to really "pop"!
Next up, you might have noticed the first card on yesterday's post....I made a fun little discovery when making that card. The new Stitched Snowflake die is the perfect size to sort of frame the tags from 2013 Holiday Tags!! So it got me to thinking, why not make a set of snowflake gift tags and here is the result!
I used the 4 horizontal tags for these snowflakes and as you can see, I opted for bright colors, but you could totally make these in any colors you needed to coordinate with your wrapping paper this year. Imagine the tags in a totally neutral cream/kraft sort of color palette! How pretty would those be? Or a sort of 'alpine' look with lots of red and cream!
Not only are these cute and fun to make, but they're also SO simple! And in case you're wondering where you'd write the to/from info -- since these are gift tags, after all -- I simply die cut a second oval and adhered it on the back of the snowflakes! You can sort of see it in the photo above -- I used a large foam square in the center of the snowflake -- one on the front and one on the back and then adhered an oval on either side.
Before adhering the ovals on the back, I stamped them with one of the "to/from" sets from 2013 Holiday Tags!
These will look SO cute tied on to gifts this year!
Before I go, I've got one more project for you....this one using Boutique Borders: Thinking of You.
The Boutique Borders: Thinking of You stamps and die were used to create the sentiment frame and I layered it on some hawaiian shores bitty dot paper that was die cut with the mat stack 4 die.
Under the focal point, I stamped several rows using a small accent image from Boutique Borders: Thinking of You, alternating the colors of ink -- hawaiian shores and ripe avocado. Just under the last row, I added a strip of ripe avocado card stock as well as a die cut strip using the new Loop de Loop II die.
All righty, Crew, I'm off for now, but I'll be back tomorrow with several more fun things to share so I hope you'll stop back by!For today, you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady & Maile Belles for lots more sneak peeks. Erin Lincoln, Heather Nichols, and Melissa Bickford will have peeks at their new sets as well.
Take care,
