Hi there!
Welcome back for another fun Papertrey Group Post! Today, we're showcasing a new collection of products designed by Nichole Heady, called City Scene (& Sentiments).
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on October 15 at 10pm EST.
If you love building darling little scenes then you're going to LOVE all the possibilities that you can create with this set. I used the City Scene dies and stamps to create the little city scene you see above. The buildings were stamped with melon berry, berry sorbet, pure poppy and canyon clay inks and all were accented with dark chocolate ink. How cute is that little taxi with a Christmas tree on top?!
Above the buildings, I used the City Scene Christmas Sentiments stamp set to stamp the sentiment and Santa and his sleigh, and added some snow in the air as well.
It is common knowledge that I have a bit of a love affair with Big Ben. I have stood on the street in front of Big Ben, double decker buses whizzing by, and listened to him chime with near tears in my eyes because I was so amazed and moved just to be there. I love Big Ben. There's just something about him. ;) So of course I had to use City Scene, to create a little fallish scene with Big Ben.
The sentiment this time, came from the City Scene Sentiments stamp set. And seriously, how cute is that bus?!
Ok, so let's talk tags for a minute. I've shown you a couple of different gift tags this week, using my new 2013 Holiday Tags stamp set.....tags with layers and details and such. But perhaps peel-and-stick tags are more your speed when it comes to gift-wrapping. So why not make your own to coordinate with your gift wrap?!
To get started, I simpled die cut a bunch of tags from white adhesive sheets, using the Limitless Layers: 2 1/4" oval dies.
Then I just stamped tags from 2013 Holiday Tags on the labels. That's it. Haha!
As you can see, the sheet music tag has the "to/from" built in on the front of the tag.
On the other tags, I simply used the tiny "To:" that's included in 2013 Holiday Tags, to give myself a place to write the recipients name on the front of the tag. I stamped the "to" in smokey shadow ink. Easy peasy! And they'll be a cinch to peel-and-stick when it comes time to wrap gifts!
One more for today....this one featuring Boutique Borders: Thinking of You! I started out by stamping the tree and leaves from Mighty Oak, using dark chocolate and canyon clay inks.
Then I added a die cut aqua mist label featuring the frame from Boutique Borders: Thinking of You, stamped in aqua mist, as well as one of the sentiments from the set, stamped in dark chocolate ink. Again, this card could easily be used for a guy OR a gal....love that versatility in these stamps!
Ok, don't forget to visit the rest of my team mates to see their City Scene inspiration!
