So last weekend, we had a little knitting night at my house and my friend, Katie, who taught me how to knit, taught two of my other friends (Amy & Kendri) how to knit!! Firstly, it was suuuuuch a treat watching these two dear friends of mine, learn how to knit! Just look at the joy on their faces!! Plus, knitting is just something that I've come to get so much enjoyment out of myself, so it makes me so happy when anyone else learns to knit too.
But also, it's just fun when friends from one area of your life meet friends from another area of your life! They're all so dear to me, so having them all in the same place was such a treat! (That's Katie -- knitter extraordinaire -- who did not want her picture taken. :) I'm hoping she'll still be my friend when she sees that I posted this here! Haha. Katie is not only a fabulously patient knitting teacher, but she's also the most kind and encouraging person ever! She makes it so easy to learn! She gave me such a gift when she taught me to knit last year and I'm so grateful!)
The girls took to knitting like a fish to water -- I kind of love that -- and they're well on their way to making their very first Gaptastic cowl! So proud of them!

Oh, and here is the tiniest member of our little knitting circle....this is Adella, future knitter. She's the prettiest little Gerber baby you ever did see!
All in all, it was a great night and I hope that in the future, we can have knitting nights where the girls all just come and bring along whatever knitting project they're currently working on. We'll put on Hallmark holiday movies, have something yummy to drink, and knit in front of the crackling and cozy fire, while chatting up a storm. Ahhh.....sounds lovely, yes?
