It's Thanksgiving morning here in the US, and as I sit here in front of our cozy fire, turkey on the grill (thanks to my hottie hubs), the Thanksgiving day parade on TV, waiting for family to arrive, my thoughts turn to the things I'm thankful for and that, my dear readers, includes you.
I just want you to know how much I appreciate you spending time with me day in and day out, and even year in and year out in some cases. You are the reason I write at this little blog-o, and when I share the comings and goings of our life here at the McVey Ranch (we don't really have a ranch), ;) I'm writing to you, dear readers. I may not always hear from you, but I know you're there and so I write as though we're having a lovely chat, as though you are sitting on the couch across from me, sharing the cozy fire with me. I write as though we're having the best time, enjoying each other's company over a cup of coffee from my favorite green mugs. I've always made it a point to share more than just crafty projects with you.....I've made an effort to share our home and family with you here, and I do that because I would do that if you were sitting right here in the family room with me.
I'm grateful for the time you spend with me, whether you're chatty or not. ;) I'm grateful for the sweet comments you take the time to leave me and the kind, thoughtful emails you send. I'm grateful for the cards and gifts some of you have sent in the mail.....I appreciate each one and I appreciate YOU.
This Thanksgiving, my dear readers, I want you to know that you are loved. You are cared for. You are treasured. Both by me, and by Someone far greater than me....Someone who knows right where you are and exactly what your situation is at this very moment. You are not alone, and I pray that today, whether you're spending the day with loved ones or not, that you would know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God CARES about you.....He cares about the details of your life and He wants to be a part of those details, if you'll let Him.
My heart is full this morning, full of gratitude for all that I've been blessed with, including you, my friends.
Thank you for blessing me with your presence here, with your time and with your friendship.
Happy Thanksgiving!
