Hellooo! It's Day 3 of the Papertrey December Countdown and I'm so glad you're here! I'm excited to share today's Boutique Borders: Valentine projects with you -- I had a ton of fun making these!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on December 15 at 10pm EST.
Here's a little Valentine tip for you -- bust out your favorite year-round sets, stamp them in Valentine colors and pair them with a perfect Valentine sentiment and voila! Your year-round sets can be transformed into Valentine-appropriate sets! Here's an example of that!
I love the Lovely Layers stamp set, so I pulled it out and stamped it up in layers of raspberry fizz, pure poppy and scarlet jewel! I stacked all the layers together and topped them with a raspberry fizz button and added some die cut vintage book print leaves, which were cut using the Meadow Greens dies!
To make this card perfectly Valentine-y, I stamped the Boutique Borders: Valentine frame and one of it's sentiments along the bottom of the card front. Man, I love this card! Hahaha. Definitely one of my favorites from this release. :)
Next up, I decided to split the Boutique Borders: Valentine frame by stamping one half at the top of the card and one half at the bottom, along with the Valentine sentiment. I used the limitless layers: hearts dies, to die cut the heart layers and stamped the top one with images from the With All My Heart stamp set.
That flowered heart is one of my all time favorite Valentine images from Papertrey (that Nichole Heady sure does know how to design 'em, doesn't she?)! It reminds me of a big ole box of Valentine chocolates! The little "Love you" is another of the images in With All My Heart. Behind the heart is some hawaiian shores bitty dot patterned paper.
Here's a better look at the Boutique Borders: Valentine frame and sentiment.
One more for today.....this one uses some of the same goodies, but as you can see, has a completely different look.
In the upper right corner of the rustic cream layer, I stamped the circle of hearts from 2010 Love Tags in pure poppy ink. I stitched over it with my sewing machine and added a few clear rhinestones that were colored with a Copic marker.
I used the limitless layers: hearts dies to cut out the large heart layers from kraft card stock and pure poppy bitty dot paper. Before running the plain kraft heart through the Vagabond, I adhered a paper doily to the kraft card stock. That way, it die cut the doily and the kraft layer at the same time. The two smaller hearts were die cut with one of the Cupid's Arrow dies. The dark chocolate heart was stamped with the postage image from 2010 Love Tags and the bitty dot heart was topped with a wood button and some poppy baker's twine.
And of course, at the bottom of the card is the Boutique Borders: Valentine frame and one of the sentiments.
All righty, Crew, I'm off for now but you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Betsy Veldman & Maile Belles for lots more sneak peeks. Heather Nichols, Melissa Bickford, Erin Lincoln, Lizzie Jones and Lexi Daly will have peeks at their new sets as well.
I'll see you back here again tomorrow, for more Countdown fun!
