It was a very happy mail day last week when a box full of scrumptious yarn and new knitting needles arrived. But not just any yarn, mind you. Only the most beautiful bright pink yarn I have ever laid eyes on!!!
Is that a tad too dramatic? Haha.
It's goooorgeous. It's the perfect shade of bright pink and it's so soft and dreamy! It's Blue Sky Alpaca's bulky yarn (which calls for size 15 knitting needles!) and I am in love. I may have finally found a yarn that I'd like to just hoard and stare at and maybe pet once in awhile. LOL!
I also got the most gorgeous shade of brown that is slightly cool (as in not too warm of a brown tone)....it's so lovely. I can't wait to knit with it!
And as for the knitting needles, I got some Addi Turbo needles. UM. Wow. I LOVE them. I've been knitting with 'cheapies' for two years now so upgrading to these needles was like knitting with butter. Or rather buttah! Although, knitting with butter would just be weird. And impossible. But you know what I mean. They're smooooooooth. Like, smooth for days, smooth. I love them. That is all. And I know this won't matter much to those of you that aren't knitters, but the fact is, a lot of you visiting here are crafters of one sort or another, and I think we can ALL relate to a really great, quality crafting tool, right? :) That's what these are.
Had to share this one before I go.....my happy little yarn photo shoot got photo-bombed by a certain labrador retriever who didn't want be left out of the fun!

OH, and also, who's getting excited for the Papertrey Anniversary Festivities coming up during the February release? You do know how much fun Papertrey's anniversary is every year, don't you? It's like a regular Countdown on steroids!! It's huge! And there are all sorts of things going on behind the scenes even now, in preparation! Can't wait for the fun to start! Just sayin'.
