Hiiii! Welcome back to the Papertrey February Countdown!! It's been so great to hear feedback from you regarding my newest stamp sets, Leave it Be and Birthday Classics: February! I'm excited that you're excited!! ;)
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on February 15 at 10pm EST.
Let's dive right in to the projects today....I've got several to share!! On this first card, I paired several new sets with an older one for a lovely result. Don't you just love how easy it is to mix and match so many of Papertrey's sets, both old and new?!! They all play so well together! Haha.
I paired up a couple of flowers from the previously released Daydreamer stamp set (stamped in pure poppy ink) with a variety of leaves from Leave It Be, stamped in sweet blush and pure poppy inks! What a sweet little color combo, huh? As you can see here, I stamped some of the leaves on the card base, some on the library card and some on the coordinating die-cut leaves. It's a fun way to add lots of depth and dimension!
If you've been keeping tabs on Nichole Heady's blog this week, then you already saw this new Monthly Moments: Journal Card 1 die and the new Library Card stamp set by Heather Nichols! I stamped the library card in smokey shadow ink and then added three sentiment-building stamps from Birthday Classics: February, to create this fun birthday sentiment.
Here's another Leave It Be card for you.....how fun is this?! This could totally work for a guy, or you could change the colors to make it even more manly. I paired the leaves with a sentiment from a new set by Erin Lincoln....you can get all the details on Nichole Heady's blog today!
The background leaves were stamped with simply chartreuse and ripe avocado inks and the focal leaf was stamped with hawaiian shores and new leaf inks. I love how you can pull out all your green/blue inks and mix and match them all with these new leaves!
As for the sentiment, I heat embossed it on the new Tropical Teal card stock with clear embossing powder!
TIP: Don't forget that if you don't have ink in every color, you can always heat emboss on any color with Versamark ink and clear embossing powder! Back when I was building up my ink collection, I turned to Versamark ink quite often....it's a great go-to!
Next up is a happy little birthday card....I paired quite a few stamp sets up here.
The background was watercolored with some Mr. Huey's spray mist from Studio Calico in My Little Pony and then when it was dry, I stamped the scribbled circle from Circle Scribbles (see Nichole's blog for more info) in smokey shadow ink. The hearts, feathers and bird are all from Feather Finery, stamped in pure poppy ink. I die cut two double-ended banner die cuts and stamped the rustic cream one with two sentiments from Birthday Classics: February.
At the bottom of the card, I added the "Valentine", also from Birthday Classics: February!
One more for you before I go....
I pulled out my Foodie Fun stamp set and stamped the cake image in a repeating pattern, using aqua mist and hawaiian shores inks. Then I added some shimmer to the scallops on each cake with a Sakura stardust gel pen.
I stamped the large sentiment from Birthday Classics: February with versamark ink on a Tropical Teal mat stack 6 die cut and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I also added a couple details to the sides, with an image from Mat Stack 6 Collection.
All right, Friends....that's it for me today. But you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Betsy Veldman, Erin Lincoln and Cristina Kowalczyk for lots more sneak peeks. Heather Nichols, Melissa Bickford and Lizzie Jones will have peeks at their new releases as well.
Thanks so much for being here!! I hope you'll stop back by tomorrow!
