Hello there! The Papertrey February Countdown is kicking off today with projects featuring all the new products coming out this month and I'm so excited to show you the two sets I've got coming out!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on February 15 at 10pm EST.
Firstly, Leave It Be is a unique collection of leaf images, most of which have a two-step stamping option for adding vein details in an additional color! And of course, there are coordinating dies making them SO easy to use! I think you're going to see throughout this week, that these leaves can be paired with virtually any floral image or die you may already have in your stash!! They're SO versatile! And not only that, you can use them on masculine cards too, without flowers!
And secondly, I'm happy to report that I've got a new series coming your way -- Birthday Classics! Each month, these $5 stamp sets will feature sentiments specific to that month with one larger, stylish sentiment for when you just want to stamp and go (these could also be used as greetings inside the card!), as well as several smaller sentiment-building elements that you can use to customize your birthday greeting even further! And the best part is, that you can create year-round sentiments with some of the elements too, just as I've done on this card!
To get things started, I've got a card for you that showcases both of my new sets! Allow me to introduce you to Leave It Be and Birthday Classics: February....
The card above shows you six different leaves from the set Leave it Be (!).....I love how different they all are, and yet how well you can mix and match them! You're going to have so much fun layering these leaves! Use just one or pile 'em on! The choice is yours!!
I used the beautiful blooms II dies to cut out the two flowers and stamped them with images from Happiness in Bloom using raspberry fizz and pure poppy inks on the large flower and summer sunrise and melon berry on the small one. They were topped with pure poppy and summer sunrise buttons.
As for all those glorious leaves, I used ripe avocado and new leaf inks, as well as hawaiian shores topped with new leaf on the leaf on the left. Notice the stitched veins on a couple of them.....those were added with ripe avocado ink on top of the new leaf ink. Oh, and as for the background, I watercolored a bit with some hawaiian shores and new leaf inks.
And now, for the sentiment......I used a couple of the small sentiment-building elements from Birthday Classics: February, stamping one in ripe avocado ink and the other in new leaf!
Next up is another Leave it Be card for you!
I used two of the images from Lovely Layers as well as one of the Lovely Layers dies to create a flower. The were stamped with hawaiian shores, simply chartreuse and ripe avocado (on the new leaf die cut). As for the leaves, the one on the left was stamped with a freshly re-inked new leaf ink pad -- haha! -- and topped with ripe avocado. The tall leaf was stamped with simply chartreuse and the aspen-like leaf in the back was stamped with new leaf and hawaiian shores veining on top.
As for that fabulous die cut sentiment, you'll have to check out Nichole Heady's and Lizzie Jones' blogs for more details!! ;) Oooooh, and what do you think about that new color of card stock?!!! *happy sigh* *happy, happy sigh*
Ok, here's another with Birthday Classics: February! Oh, and just a head's up, we will be releasing both March and April Birthday Classics sets on March 15th, so we'll get ahead of the calendar a bit, so you'll have them in time to use them for birthdays at the beginning of each month too!
This is the large sentiment from Birthday Classics: February, stamped in ripe avocado ink on a Limitless Layers: 2 1/4" square die cut. I stamped a hawaiian shores frame around the sentiment, using a new set that Nichole will be telling you about today -- wink! -- and layered the whole thing on a dark chocolate pinked edge die cut.
I used some water and new leaf & hawaiian shores refills to watercolor the backgrond. I LOVE how it turned out!! So vibrant! (Stay tuned for a MIM video featuring tips on how to achieve this look!)
One more for today.....this one featuring both new sets again! And seriously, how great do these leaves look behind....ANYTHING?! Haha!
This time I used Round Repeats to create a flower by stamping the large repeating image twice with raspberry fizz ink and twice with berry sorbet ink and then topped each one with a smaller detail stamp in pure poppy ink. That's a pure poppy button threaded with pure poppy baker's twine on top and the leaves were stamped with simply chartreuse and ripe avocado inks.
The sentiment was stamped with two more stamps from Birthday Classics: February! Another nice thing about building your own sentiments, is the ease with which you can stamp them in different colors! Here, I used berry sorbet and pure poppy inks.
All right, my friends, I'm off for now, but I'll be back every day for the next five days (yes, you get a bonus countdown day this month!) with lots more sneak peeks of my new sets so I hope you'll join me!!
What do you think of Birthday Classics: February and Leave It Be so far?? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
For today, you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady and Laura Bassen for lots more sneak peeks. (Nichole will be showcasing both Birthday Classics: February AND Leave It Be today!) Heather Nichols, Erin Lincoln, Melissa Bickford and Lizzie Jones will have peeks at their new products as well.
Thanks so much for sharing a bit of your day with me! See you tomorrow!
