Hellooo and a VERY happy Valentine's Day to you! I hope you all take time today, to tell someone special just how much you love them! There are quite a few people that fit that bill in my life and I bet I'm not the only one. ;)
We've got another fun Papertrey Group Post for you today, featuring a couple of clever new stamp sets from Erin Lincoln, called Special Delivery and Special Delivery Sentiments. These stamp sets allow you to customize this cute little truck and transform it into a wide variety of trucks with various purposes...and the coordinating sentiments that go along with each of those trucks are so cute! I decided to create a pair of baby cards wiht the "news truck"! Let's get right to the projects!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on February 15 at 10pm EST.
Firstly, a simple little baby girl card.....I stamped the truck directly on the rustic cream card front, with smokey shadow ink and then stamped the coordinating solid image in sweet blush to fill the truck in with color. Next, I added the coordinating stripes images in berry sorbet and raspberry fizz inks, followed by the news logo bits and pieces and that adorable antenna! I stamped the "newsflash!" sentiment (from Special Delivery Sentiments) several times without reinking between each stamping.
To serve as a little "road" for the truck, I added a couple strips of raspberry fizz card stock and berry sorbet striped paper. Just below that, I stamped the "congratulations" sentiment from Special Delivery Sentiments, using raspberry fizz ink.
For the baby boy card, I decided to make it interactive, by using a Movers & Shakers: Zipper die, which worked perfectly with the "road" stamp from Special Delivery...it made a great little road for the truck!
I stamped the truck in much the same manner as the first card, however this time, I stamped it on the coordinating die cuts and used aqua mist, hawaiian shores and new leaf for the colors.
When you pull the zipper tab, it reveals the same sentiment, stamped on rustic cream card stock and tucked behind the zipper layer. SO fun!
Ok, so next up is another Leave It Be card for you......I hope you're seeing by now, that these leaves can literally be paired with nearly any flowers in your stash! I just love that! They're sooo versatile!
I used the Mum's the Word stamp set and dies to create these Tropical Teal flowers, stamped with versamark ink. Behind them, I layered a variety of leaves from Leave It Be, stamped on new leaf card stock with new leaf ink. The veining was stamped in pinefeather ink.
The sentiment is one from Mum's the Word, and it was stamped in new leaf ink as well.
And one more for you today.....this one very lacey and girly!
I stamped the large image from Lace Bouquet using melon berry ink and then added felt buttons to the centers of the three largest flowers in the bouquet, using the new Button Stacks dies. The felt colors I used for all the layers are hibiscus burst, raspberry fizz, lavender moon & melon berry.
And of course, the large sentiment from Birthday Classics: February was stamped with raspberry fizz ink. The whole thing was layered on a melon berry card base.
Don't forget to visit all the other girls on the team, to see their Special Delivery projects!
