Hello there, dear readers!
Today, we officially kick off all of Papertrey's 7th Anniversary festivities and you are not going to want to miss a single day of the action!! Each day of the Countdown (including today!), Nichole Heady will be sharing fun announcements, new products, contests and challenges as well as giving away lots AND LOTS of prizes!! For today, each of the Design Team members are sharing our top 7 favorite projects from the last year and Nichole's got a fun challenge for you too! You can head over to her blog for all the details as to how you can play along and be entered to win today's prizes.
The graphic above, shows you my top 7 favorite projects from this past year. As you can see, I kind of have a thing for flowers! Hahaha! Some people love creating Christmas cards more than any other, some like making baby cards the most or wedding cards, but my favorites usually involve flowers in some way! :) I love the freedom that comes with flowers.....you can make them in any colors you like and you can make them for a WIDE array of occasions. I just think they're super versatile. And not only that, I LOVE real flowers in our garden and in our home, so creating with them is kind of an automatic for me! I'm also so proud that some of the flowers I used in my favorite projects this year, are flowers that I designed myself, so that makes them even more special to me. I adore flowers but hadn't designed many of my own until this last year, so those sets hold a very special place in my heart. (Delightful Dahlia Additions and Ruby Rose are two of those sets that you see here.)
My favorite cards were also largely determined by the colors I used on them. Color is hugely important to me.....it's usually the thing that inspires me most! And I so love bright, cheerful, happy colors so each of these cards and their cheery color combos just make me smile! I also love all things vintage, so the bit of vintage flair that some of these cards display, makes them tops in my book. The florals remind me of vintage fabrics and of course the vintage-style button cards are so fun to create and use on projects! :)
Here's a look at each of them again, up close.
I've been on Papertrey's Design Team since July of 2008 and still consider myself SO blessed to have this job....to be able to work with such an amazing company and with so many other crazy-talented designers! They never cease to amaze me with their endless fount of creativity -- every month I think to myself, “Now why didn’t I think of that?!” And I love the fact that each designer is just as nice as can be behind the scenes too. This is a group of extremely gracious and humble ladies and I’m beyond blessed to get to work with them every day. God has blessed me so much through Papertrey and through it's owners -- Nichole, Julie and Jane -- and I'm so, so grateful to them all. I know I say it every year, but it's so true, even almost 6 years later.
Looking forward to an exciting year ahead with Papertrey! I hope you'll be here to go on this amazing ride with me!
