Hello there! It's time for the Papertrey March Countdown and this month, I'm excited to be bringing you three new Raspberry Suite stamp sets! To get things started, allow me to introduce you to Background Basics: Art Deco....a background building set featuring a pair of patterns that can be used alone or together to create a gorgeous art deco background!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on March 15 at 10pm EST.
I stamped the arches from Background Basics: Art Deco using soft stone ink on stamper's select white card stock and then stamped the smaller accent diamonds using smokey shadow ink that I stamped off once on scratch paper first, to soften the color just a bit. I LOVE how classy and elegant this pattern looks here! The white background panel was layered on a soft stone card base.
I paired Background Basics: Art Deco with some Rosie Posie flowers and leaves stamped in aqua mist, hawaiian shores and ocean tides. I stamped the Happy Anniversary sentiment from Inside & Out: Love by masking the words off a bit and reconfiguring the sentiment to fit the space I had to work with.
Next up, you know I had to stamp Background Basics: Art Deco in some COLOR!! Haha! I also paired it up with the large sentiment from the new Birthday Classics: March.
The sentiment was stamped in smokey shadow ink and above and below it, I added the frame from Boutique Borders: Congrats, stamped in new leaf ink. I rounded the top corners with my corner chomper.
As for the background, I stamped the arches from Background Basics: Art Deco in hawaiian shores ink, on aqua mist card stock. The accent diamonds were stamped in new leaf ink.
One more for today.....this one featuring Birthday Classics: April.
I couldn't resist pairing the April showers sentiment with an umbrella from Scattered Showers.....but once I got to creating the card, I realized that those diamonds from Background Basics: Art Deco, when turned upside down, work well as cute little raindrops! I stamped them here, in hawaiian shores ink.
The die cut umbrella was stamped in new leaf ink and the handle was stamped in smokey shadow, stamped off once to lighten the color. The sentiment was stamped in full-strength smokey shadow and I added a couple of hand-cut hawaiian shores wellies from Scattered Showers Additions.
