Hello, dear ones....
Today is the first of yet another month (Helloooooo, March!!) and that means it's time for another Senior Design Team challenge at Papertrey Ink! Have I mentioned how much I love my job? :) Just look at the fun stamp sets we pulled out this month, to use for today's post.....Strawberry Patch and Strawberry Patch Sentiments! It's been way too long since I inked these up and with the possibility of snow on the way (more than once this week, I might add!), the visions of warm summer days that these darling strawberries conjur up, was just the ticket! I hope these little projects will brighten your day, just like creating them did mine!
I've also said it before but what is it about coordinating paper items? Cards with matchy-matchy gift tags, a set of coordinating cards in different colors, a pen that matches the journal you're writing in.....I love 'em all! So any time I get the chance to whip up tags that coordinate with a card, I love to do it.
To be perfectly honest with you, I had plans to go a completely different direction on my card, but as I was working on it, I didn't like how it was coming together. So I set it aside and started working on these tags and loved them!! After that, the card came together in a snap! I love when that happens!
Here's a look at the pair of tags. These could be used on multiple gifts for the same person, or I can use one with the card and save the other for a second gift down the road sometime.
I started out with one of the rectangle images from Strawberry Patch, stamping it twice on the white tag using hawaiian shores ink. Then, I stamped the small leaf outline image using new leaf ink. The strawberries were die cut and then stamped and popped up with foam adhesive. The larger strawberry on each, was inked with a little raspberry fizz ink on the left side of the strawberry and pure poppy everywhere else.
Lastly, along the bottom of the tags, I stamped a combo of sentiments from Strawberry Patch and Strawberry Patch Sentiments using smokey shadow ink.
For the card, I started with that same rectangle stamp, but stamped it in a row off to the left. This served as a great place to "ground" those otherwise floating strawberries!
This time, I used the large strawberry/leaves cluster, once again stamping it (twice) in new leaf ink right over the top of the rectangles.
Next, I added die cut strawberries and flowers (summer sunrise ink) and stamped the "sweet" along the bottom of the panel.
The "hope your special day is" was simply stamped on a little strip of white card stock and popped up with foam adhesive.
All righty, I'm off for now, but the other girls on the Senior Team have more Strawberry Patch projects to share with you today! Be sure to check 'em out!
