Hi there!
Welcome back for another fun Papertrey Group Post! This time, we're focusing on a darling new stamp set by Nichole Heady, called Desktop Design.
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on April 15 at 10pm EST.
I've got a super simple card to show you first, using this fun new set, and then a sort of stepped up version. For this one, I stamped the desk on a rustic cream card stock panel and then added the ADORABLE typewriter in the center of the desk, with hawaiian shores and smokey shadow inks. Who doesn't love turquoise vintage typewriters?!
I also stamped the phone in summer sunrise and smokey shadow inks, as well as the pencil cup and scissors. Lastly, I die cut some hawaiian shores card stock with a journal tabs die and stamped a sentiment from Desktop Design.
For the slightly stepped up version, I die cut the desk and stamped it before adding it to the cream card stock. Then, I die cut the typewriter, the typewriter paper (how cute is that?!), the apple and pencil cup and stamped them all before adding them to the desk.
The typewriter and apple are popped up with foam adhesive. I stamped the phone in tropical teal and aqua mist inks, directly on the cream layer and stamped the "thank you" at the top. On the right of the card, I added some strips of pattern pack papers in limeade ice, tropical teal and new leaf.
Of course, before I go, I wanted to share a couple more Birthday Classics: May cards with you too! I love the color combo on this one....so striking!
I used Polka Dot Basics III and summer sunrise ink to create the background pattern. I stamped the large sentiment from Birthday Classics: May in smokey shadow ink on some rustic cream card stock, and layered it on a bit of vintage book print as well as some smokey shadow bitty dot paper. I stitched those layers together on my sewing machine and then accented them with an image from Delightful Dahlia Additions, which was punched out with a 1" circle punch and topped with a summer sunrise button.
This time, I used the same sentiment from Birthday Classics: May but created a card with a completely different feel!
I stamped the frame from Boutique Borders: Congrats above and below the large sentiment, as well as the "have a great day!" from Birthday Classics: May in lavender moon ink. I die cut the top and bottom of the panel, by lining up the die with the stamped image, securing it temporarily with a bit of washi tape and then running it through my vagabond, but only half way. After the top and bottom were "half" die cut, I used an exacto knife to trim out the long straight sides.
Behind the sentiment panel, are a couple strips of lavender moon and hibiscus burst pattern pack papers, as well as a strip of rustic cream card stock.
And of course, I used the woodgrain impression plate on the melon berry card base, for an added bit of detail! What did we do before we could impress our card stock with any pattern we want?! Haha!
All right, all the other girls on the team have lots more Desktop Design inspiration for you today, so be sure to visit each one and leave 'em some love!
