And now, how about some project inspiration.....!
For this first card, I put a piece of paper from the Shakers & Sprinkles patterned paper collection, on a white card base. Then, I used the Shakers & Sprinkles dies, to cut out a raspberry fizz scalloped frame, an orange zest rectangle frame, a white rectangle backer, a piece of clear card stock for the front of the shaker and a foam adhesive rectangle that matches the orange layer! Oh, and I also die cut the "Scatter" from raspberry fizz card stock, while I was die cutting. :) The dies to cut out all of these pieces are included in the Shakers & Sprinkles kit!
To put it all together, I stamped the "You", "Joy" and "wherever you go" sentiments from the Shakers & Sprinkles stamp set with orange zest and hawaiian shores inks, leaving space for the word "Scatter" to complete the sentiment....."You scatter joy wherever you go". After stamping the words, I added the foam adhesive frame and then sprinkled on some of these colorful sprinkles from the Shakers & Sprinkles kit inside the frame and on top of the stamped words. Next, I added the clear card stock layer, topped with the orange frame which was adhered with score-tape and finally added the scalloped frame with more foam adhesive. Lastly, I glued the "Scatter" in place and attached the whole shaker to the card front.
It sounds like a lot of steps, but once you get going, you realize how truly easy it is to put one of these shaker cards together, thanks to these handy-dandy dies!
Here, I used another piece of patterned paper from the Shakers & Sprinkles collection, and layered it on hawaiian shores card stock. I stamped the "I hope your day is" and "with Happiness" from the Shakers & Sprinkles stamp set and then added the word "Sprinkled" that was die cut piece of foam adhesive. After removing the top paper layer on the adhesive to reveal the sticky surface, I sprinkled on some of the gold glitter that is included in the Shakers & Sprinkles kit!
A word to the wise....less is more when sprinkling this gold glitter on! Haha! The pieces of glitter are chunky enough that too much of it makes the word too hard to read. So you just want to sprinkle on a little and then brush off with your finger, as much excess as you can.
Lastly, I added a few of the sequins from the kit, to finish things off.
One more for today...I started out with yet another of the fun papers from the kit and cut out this cute "hearts" card front. I stamped the "sending" and "& Smiles" on white card stock, as well as the "Happy birthday" on the patterned paper layer.
The word "Sprinkles" was die cut with a Shakers & Sprinkles die from hawaiian shores card stock.
I used one of these darling little glassine bags from the kit, which makes it quick and easy to add some sequins to, to create a fun little "confetti" pocket of sorts. You will LOVE all of the "sprinkles" included in this kit -- I mixed and matched quite a few different types in this glassine bag.
