Hi-ya! Welcome back for more Papertrey May Countdown fun! I've got a few more cards to show you today, featuring my new Background Basics: Venice and Birthday Classics: June stamp sets. Hope you enjoy...
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on May 15 at 10pm EST.
For this first card, I used the Doodlie-do dies to cut out some flowers from raspberry fizz and pure poppy bitty dot papers as well as some leaves from simply chartreuse card stock. I also added some resin flowers and a Studio Calico gem to finish off the flowers.
On a piece of white card stock, I stamped some Background Basics: Venice in soft stone ink and then added a sentiment from Birthday Classics: June, stamped in smokey shadow ink.
Next up, I thought it'd be fun to use the large sentiment from Birthday Classics: June to create a really cool, typography-heavy background pattern!
I stamped the sentiment several times on rustic cream card stock with soft stone ink and I love how it almost has a vintage feel, yet with a modern twist.
For the focal point, I pulled out a couple of stamps from Simply Framed and stamped them with new leaf and limeade ice inks. Then, on the "for the record" tag, I added the "Happy" and "birthday" from Birthday Classics: June -- they're a PERFECT fit!! How fun is that?!
I also wanted to add a little floral tag, so I whipped one up simply with a little rectangle of white card stock that I stamped a variety of flowers and leaves from Bold Bouquet on! I punched a whole in the top, tied on some twine and voila! Floral tag!
Lastly, I added a portion of a paper doily and a felt button stack that was die cut from limeade ice felt. I love how that happy little cluster of embellies came together. Ooh....a couple of Prima gems from my stash were the perfect finishing touch.
Ok, one more for today....this is a super simple thank you that you could recreate in a wide variety of colors. These would also make a lovely gift set, if you whipped up several to give together.
The sentiment is from Keep It Simple: Thank you and was stamped with ripe avocado ink on a limeade ice card base. The white card stock was stamped with Background Basics: Venice, using limeade ice, simply chartreuse and new leaf inks for the little dots in the centers of each flower.
All righty, my friends....that's it for me today, but I'll be back tomorrow with lots more to share.
For today, you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Heather Nichols, Ashley Newell, Melissa Phillips and Danielle Flanders for lots more sneak peeks. Lizzie Jones, Erin Lincoln, Melissa Bickford and Lexi Daly will have peeks at their new sets as well.
