Welcome back for one more Papertrey Group Post! Eeee! It's another really fun post because the whole team is featuring a DARLING new stamp set by Lizzie Jones called Bowl of Sunshine. If you've been hanging around here for long, you know that I'm a vintage loving kind of gal so these Pyrex-inspired bowls make me so HAPPY!!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on March 15 at 10pm EST.
To start things off, check out that new die designed by Nichole Heady die -- Berry Basket II! This one has adorable scallops at the top and stitching holes that you can leave plain as I did, or stitch them up if you please. I don't know why, but I can't seem to make a berry basket in any color other than hawaiian shores! I did it with the first one and I've done it again -- I just love that classic berry basket look!
I die cut 4 of the Berry Basket II pieces -- one for each side of the basket -- and put them all together. They go together REALLY easily. I added some fabric from my stash, a gift tag and some fresh strawberries.....a perfect little gift for a friend! If you grow your own strawberries or even if you go to one of those pick-your-own places, even better!
As for the tag, I used the Tag Sale #8 die and cut out an aqua mist tag and the hawaiian shores frame layer on top. Then, I added one of Lizzie's adorable bowls stamped in hawaiian shores ink, with new leaf dots on top. The apples were stamped with raspberry fizz ink. Lastly, I added a little sentiment strip from Bowl of Sunshine.
And now, for a Bowl of Sunshine card! Ahhh, the colors!!! I think I might give this card to myself, just because, so I can look at it whenever I want!! LOL! Is that weird?! :)
I stamped the bowls in hawaiian shores, raspberry fizz topped with pure poppy and aqua mist topped with new leaf ink. I stamped the oranges with orange zest and new leaf, the apples with simply chartreuse and the lemons with harvest gold ink.
I used my favorite sentiment from Friendly Flowers, stamped in smokey shadow ink on the kraft card stock panel.
Next up is a one-layer card for you, featuring Friendly Flowers and Thank You Kindly!
The flowers were stamped with berry sorbet, raspberry fizz and pure poppy inks. The leaves, with simply chartreuse ink.
I love this sentiment....so classic. It's stamped with smokey shadow ink.
One more for you before I go....here's a little Birthday Classics: July card for you! I have a dear friend who's birthday is on the 4th of July! Not many people get fireworks on their birthday every year, but she sure does and she loves it!! :)
I used the Monthly Moments: Mini Journal Card and Monthly Moments: Journal Card 2 dies to cut out the white and hawaiian shores layers. On the white layer, I stamped some stripes images from Simply Framed in pure poppy and hawaiian shores inks and then added sentiment pieces from Birthday Classics: July to create the "Happy 4th of July Birthday" sentiment. The stars are also from Simply Framed and were cut by hand.
On the pure poppy card base, I used the picnic plaid impression plate to give it some texture!
All right, friends, I'm off for now. But you won't want to miss the rest of the Bowl of Sunshine projects today!
